I haven't finished the game yet, it's probably my fourth day. I am worried once I finish what will I do to keep the game fun? I play 3 hours on weekdays and about 9 hours on weekends. Thanks for your help!

Good evening, everyone! We have an egg hunt announcement! An additional clue for egg #21 will be posted Monday at 6 PM EDT if it hasn't been found by then. The egg hunt will also be extended until Tuesday morning at 10 AM EDT.
What to do when there is nothing to do?

okay so im just gonna copy n paste this thing i wrote from another thread that was about the same thing:
go slow with the game is my only tip tbh. try to not TT as much or beg for hard-to-get items/sets on the forums, it'll be much more satisfying when u actually get things yourself!
if once you've reached a point when you've got everything you want, & ur town status is perfect, try landscaping. search for ur dreamies, plot them in, and start collecting hybrids, bushes, saplings n whatnot. lay out paths and decorate ur town with pwps!
if you've finished landscaping in one season, start planning out how u wanna change it next season!
take it slow and i guarantee u wont be getting bored anytime soon! people loose interest when they dont have any objectives for their town, so always have an objective u wanna get done. if ur tired of playing, take a break! once u get back you'll have new ideas for your town and the cycle will start again

Honestly, I don't think this game can be finished
At these moments maybe I just go to talk with some villagers or make some round trips to the online island trying to find some rare items.

Even if you have the perfect town, perfect villagers and everything you've always wanted there is still stuff to do, villagers still want things, there are still bugs and fish to catch, that's why I love it as a fun and relaxing getaway from my life. It's my home away from home and I wish there were more games like it. =]
Yeah, there is no literal finishing this game (unless you count going to 2050 or whatever year the calendar ends in), because I still to this day play the original 13 years (nearly) after I got it, and even with a complete catalog, museum, encyclopedia, I STILL keep coming back- not sure why...
