Okay, so Gabi moved in on top of a path yesterday. That was a problem because Gabi is a dreamie. But the odd thing is, I went on on a spare character before I went on my Mayor and there was no plot there, I would have known becuase the path is going down from my only bridge into the residential area. Has this happened to anyone else?

You have to save the new character through Isabelle/getting a house and getting your TPC card for Gabi's house location to save, otherwise it'll be randomly generated once again. Either way, sorry to here that :/

You didn't save with your spare, right? That's why the next time you loaded the game, the plot was set up anew. And since this time you entered with you mayor, a permanent character, sorry to tell you your path is ruined forever (unless you cycle Gabi out, which I don't know you're willing to do because you said it was one of your dreamies).

This has happened to me as well, I had started up a spare character so I could plot reset for Flora who I had invited from my campsite. After getting her house in a good spot I double checked everything in my town, saved and started up my mayor to find that Tabby also had a plot reserved now, perfectly blocking off where I wanted to place a bridge (1 block back Tabby was it too much to ask). I know I checked before I saved and the worst part is I absolutely love Tabby's design and can't stand the thought of letting her leave.

Thanks for the answers there, I honestly thought Nintendo had fixed the glitch. I suppose it was just really really REALLY bad luck on my behalf, next time I will save.

I'm sorry to hear that :/ one of my dreamies moved in DIRECTLY in front of my police station and I feel guilty about relocating the station because poor Booker lives in there LOL
