You're in pain, and you can't think straight, it's like a psychological thing, and then you become addicted because you start to think that's how to resolve your problems.

People that cut just can't take it anymore. They have a lot of pain in their life, an a lot of psychological problems I would imagine. That's no reason to call them idiots or hate them.

I don't drink or anything, but I would rather do that than cutting my own body. I think intentionally hurting yourself is much more scarring to your emotional self than drinking alcohol could ever be.

And drinking alcohol is not intentionally damaging? When people resort to self-mutilation the emotional scarring is already deep enough. Add alcohol into the picture and then you get a emotionally scarred person who now drinks and cuts themselves for a way to escape from reality.

Its like giving your friend poison rather than having them use a knife to kill themselves.

There are people that have tried that.
And sure you can take medication and go to a psychologist but it doesn't work for everyone.
And you are no one to say that there is no pain strong enough to make you want to end your life. There is. We're humans, we feel emotional ad physical pain, and sometimes suicide is your only answer.

Been there done that, it didn't make me feel better, I used to be christian, and all I ever prayed for was love and happiness. And guess what? I end up with the opposite, according to most christians there's pain in the world because god doesn't love us anymore.

I beg to differ. The reason why people resort to such things is because the damage is so deep, it got to the point of cutting. Alcohol kills slowly damaging the insides that are too valuable that aren't able to repair over time. Cutting damages, but the body repairs itself and nothing is permanently damaged.

Either method isn't good so we'll just agree to disagree right here. =P
