What shows/movies did you watch as a kid compared to now?

To be honest, I still watch alot of animations/cartoons like I did as a child, however now I watch modern cartoons which is just common sense...
 
if i listed movies i'd be here forever so i'm only going to list the tv shows

as a child i watched:
austin and ally
wizards of waverly place
suite life of zack and cody

my little pony
fish hooks
sonny with a chance
phineas and ferb
gravity falls

pokemon
probably more i forgot

now i watch:
gravity falls (i still rewatch it all the time aha)
star vs the forces of evil
steven universe (best show ever imo ♡)
the owl house
she-ra princess of power
over the garden wall
avatar: the last airbender
kipo
miraculous (this show is so bad but i can't stop watching it because of cat noir)
the dragon prince
hazbin hotel
helluva boss
bna

i'm a really big fan of animation, it's like watching art move, i can't explain it lol
 
I used to watch a lot as a kid, so I'll note the most ones I watched/remembered.

Then:

- Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie (This was NOT a kids show XD)

Now:

- The walking dead
- Craig of the creek
- Tokyo Godfathers
- Paprika
- Once upon a time

- Amphibia
- The Owl House
- Strangers on a train

So like, I have a wide range of genresi enjoy. Including kid stuff. I even rewatch some of the older cartoons i used to watch, and find ones I never even watched as a kid. I can also enjoy the films/shows not just by plot and characters but how cinematophic some stuff is or how they animated it in certain ways, as thats something I've beginning to learn and love.

I think what else I've noticed is that the newer kids shows are showing more important story plots that can help kids in their own enviroments and I love that.
 
I would watch a lot of og animes as a kid - I would rent some series from an old dvd store that shut down back in 2009 :[
Some of my favourites were Dragon Ball, Pokémon, Sonic X, Avatar, and some weird obscure mario dvd series lmao

Shows I was nowadays is pretty similar - I still love anime. But I've noticed a lot of my favourites are darker xD. Some of my favourite shows today are Kakegurui, Devilman Crybaby, Banana Fish and JJba. Of course, I still love Pokemon but I play the games a lot more :]
