What should I use for Villager cosplay?

I'm thinking of going as the male villager from new leaf but what props or things should I do to be recognized as an AC villager and not just a guy in normal clothes?

Well, I made my ACNL MK8 Boy Villager have a Kart in his house, and made him say "play as me in DLC pack two" so those who go to dream towns and talk to him he'll say that. But unfortunately, I named him Ben and not Villager. Oh well.
