As You All Know, I am currently the mayor of Sleep, a town of dreams. The only thing is, I'm trying to figure out what type of dream it should be. Basically, it's one of those "What Should I Theme My Town Around?" questions.
Should I theme my town around Daydreams or Nightmares? Or Both?
I think both would be cool. Maybe make above the river daydreams and pretty and below the river nightmares and scary? I think that would be really cool to use both and I think working with both will give you a lot more options with what you can do.
Perhaps pretty pink flowers and perfect fruit trees for the daydream section and a bunch of dead trees, rotten fruit on the ground, black flowers for the bottom?
Overall I really like your idea whatever you decide. ^_^
Definitely both! If your river does a good job of splitting the town in half, you can have a daydream/nightmare kinda thing! Only problem I see is in a dream town, that'll be hard to do since you can only save it during one time of day. Maybe just a happy dream vs a nightmare?
I think it would be really cool if you did both the daydream and the nightmare. You could have half of your town dream and the other half could be nightmare. It would be really cool to see the dream slowly turning into a nightmare. You could have paths look whimsical and start to grow darker and creepier. The dream could have flower fields and perfect trees and then it fades to more generic trees and then changes to dead trees or a pine forest. The only problem is what time you would set it in for the dream address. If it's bright then the nightmare is not as cool but if it's dark then the dream is not as nice. Maybe you could have it at a sunset time or maybe when it is raining or snowing.
