what should i name my food themed village?

i still haven't been able to decide on a name, and i'd like to before i restart my main town! i appreciate any votes and/or new suggestions.

I'd love to offer some suggestions~ and of course any variations on these to make them more town namey.

Hobnob, Nutmeg, Chicory (this is a word I use for myself a lot in various ways), Calorie, Crunch, Nibble, Palate, Savor/Savour, Crumble, or you could name it after a restaurant you love and frequent often!

As for the names suggested in the poll, Stovetop is my favourite.

ooh thank you for the suggestions, i particularly like Chicory and Calorie ! and i originally had Crunch as one of the options but took it out, though it'd also make for a fitting food town name

Out of your suggestions, I definitely like Stovetop the best! But since you have mixed foods, from what I saw in your villager thread, I might go with something different - Stovetop makes me think of savory foods, for some reason.

My suggestions would be Buffet, Kitchen, Gourmet (also might be a good character name), Potluck, Teatime, Lunchbox, Banquet, Kaiseki, Diner, or Cuisine.

Something I've been wondering about since your last thread that may help with any more suggestions is what your town is actually going to look like. For instance, I wouldn't use Ooishi or Kaiseki if your town isn't Japanese-themed, but they'd be good names if it is.

From your list I like Milkiway or Gumdrop ^^

There's so many cute food names you can come up with, I love brainstorming them. Latte, Toffee, Tapioca, Matcha, Creame, Sashimi, Tea Leaf. There's a lot of Japanese foods in the game so it would make good use of Japanese names.

I think Sweetpea is just an adorable name for a town in general. Gumdrop is cute too, though.

Have you decided on a name for your mayor yet?
I remember you had Vanilla as an option. If you end up choosing it then Twix and Milkyway would go with it as they have vanilla flavored bars.

I think Stovetop and Lunchbox are good suggestions. There are many different food themed villagers & all of varying colors, and when I look at some of the names you suggested I think of a different town aesthetic than "food".

- Simmer
- Honeydew
- Raclette
- Pistache (suggested by someone else)

I wanted to say that the suggestion of Lunchbox trumps anything I had thought of and is my favourite so far!

Lunchbox, Stovetop, Gumdrop, and Honeydew sound so cute. Especially Lunchbox and Stovetop, they sound so unique!

alright guys, i wanna thank you all again for participating in this! that said, while i love all the names on the poll + in the comments, the clear winner here is Gumdrop.

it's decided. the town's name will be Gumdrop! the mayor's name will be Anise, which is a spice used in gummies (gumdrops included) so it all fits together.



not sure how to close this thread, but any new votes won't be counted!

edit: my mayor's name will actually be Clove as that's a spice used in gumdrops! Anise will be the name of a resident instead
