I used to rank it a 9 out of 10. I now would call it 8 out of 10. I'm enjoying it the same, but the number of bugs and glitches makes it go down a point.

popular and unpopular opinion depending who you asking. It feel like it is still too soon to fully rate because how the game is laid out. Right now I would say 8/10. I have played most of the main series ac games and think all are good in different aspects. In the long terms I think I will enjoy NH the most. I haven’t encountered any bug or glitches yet mostly because I don’t engage in villager trading and then I hit the 300 ballon milestone after it was patched.

7/10. Would be a 9 but the glitches are too substantial. Currently have a glitched home and can only have 9 villagers in my town with no way to fix it as of yet, and a lot of other people are having similar issues.

I can't decide between 7 and 8/10. I enjoy the game but it falls short of NL and it has a fair share of problems, despite the improvements it does make.

G = Classic, partial nostalgia bias. 9/10 - WW: Never got to play this one. ?/10
- CF: I never got to play WW as I didn't have a DS so I spent a lot of time with this one, enjoyed it no matter what anyone says. 7/10
- NL: Favorite so far. Only missing some of NH's features like terraforming, a slightly bigger island, and outdoor decor. 9/10
- NH: Good, but room for improvement despite improvements (this sounds weird), some major glitches, and lots of missing content from NL, not entirely decided yet. Currently hovering between 7.5-8(?)/10

Probably a 3.5-4 / 5 at the moment. I'm enjoying it at the moment because they frontloaded a lot of content, but this really needs time to settle before I can give it a true rating. Animal Crossing is about longevity and the circumstance around this is so unique with the hype that I expect burnout rates to be extraordinarily high very very soon. It'll be interesting to see how the game develops past that. It also feels like a lot of key features were cut so while QoL updates have been monumental, actual game play (especially in the online arena) has felt weaker than New Leaf given the 7 year difference in release dates.
I would give it 7/10. It's extremely enjoyable and absolutely gorgeous, but loses some points for lack of QoL (multi-crafting, multi-select clothes shopping, etc.), lack of furniture options, many missing characters and features (dream suite, The Roost, Gracie, etc.), and the inability to customize Nook-bought furniture. Also there are some massive glitches.
For reference, I would have given Wild World 8/10 and New Leaf 9/10.
