If it could be absolutely anything?

I think something we?d all like is altering the Beauitful Ordinance to also stop grass deterioration.
But another interesting thing I saw from a thread years back was:
Being able to alter your town size!

It?d be nice if we could set our town to ?village? and only have 6 villagers, ?town? and have 10, and ?city? and have like 15. :)

You know you can change the appearance of the town hall to a theme? I wished you had the option to change other villager houses to the same theme as well.

I'd see modern themed towns with modern bridges, lamps ect. Looked awesome! Then random looking multicolored houses. :S

Oooooo, That is such a good one !! I didn’t think about that at all. I wish we had more town exterior themes to pick from in general, and being able to edit everyone’s houses to match would be SO nice.

Late night buetfication. I really liek playing later in the day, but I don't like watering flowers every day.

I agree with you completely, It'd be awesome if we could change the colour pallet of the theme as well. For example: you know the fairy tale is pastal blue yellow, white and pink. Imagine if you could change it to lavender, black and white. Really make it look gothic.
:)

Yeee I love this idea. I have so many favourite villagers who have trash can looking houses that never fit my theme so this kinda ordinance would be perfect!

I agree with the beautiful town ordinance stopping grass deterioration. Maybe we could have an ordinance where beautiful town and early bird and night owl are combined? Sometimes I get up really early to play and then sometimes I play late at night, but since we can only have one ordinance at a time, it's a real bummer. I'd like to keep my flowers alive and play both early morning and at night and have the shops open during those times.

I'd make one so that the shops were all open really late. I usually get home around midnight and I don't like to change the game time to be different from real time

That's a pretty good idea here. I never liked how the houses in New Leaf looked, having such a option would have been really nice. At least they changed the villager houses in New Horizons into something much better looking now.

I like the idea of disabling grass deterioration. I don't know why it was even implemented to begin with. I've read from quite a few people in another forum that wanted stores to be opened all night and all day, since they have busy schedules and often only have time to play Animal Crossing once all the stores are closed or near closing.

I also really like the idea of redesigning your villager's home exterior. When you line them up using plot resset, some houses look odd next to each other. I'd take this a step further by implementing the ability to redesign their interiors, too, like in Happy Home, but I'm also wondering if that would make the game less enjoyable, since you'd be working less harder to achieve your goals.

I wish they'd take some ideas from hacked towns and add grass (clovers in hacked towns) in the bottom of ponds, lakes and maybe even the sea when you go swimming. How about being able to plant certain trees in your lakes?

How about an ordinance that allows you to move certain npcs into your towns instead of just being rv characters?

How about an ordinance to plant bushes right next to homes, so long as they don't block doorways?

How about removing more of the spaces PWPs consume?

These are just a few things I'd like to see.

If only we could have multiple Ordinances but pay more fot each one, like how upgrading at Nook’s works....

If they gave us access to placing PWPs more easily or access to new plants to use in the waters like Kuriboh said, Ordinances would have SO much more purpose and would give you more late game things to do.

I wonder if there could even be a negative Ordinance for those people who enjoy trying to obtain perfect town status with all the negative pwps. Maybe it could be like bell boom, but you tax your villagers at the cost of town rep going down lol.

At bit off topic, but as for redesigning the interiors of your villagers home, you think it could be a ping thing they do, instead of Ordinance?... like “Hey, ___, I saw your house and it was so nice ! I’m really struggling man, come over and give me some ideas!” And then you could go over to their house and rearrange the furniture like in HHD.

Maybe a quick shopping ordinance?
The greeting and farewell as you enter/exit a shop is nice on a normal day, but if you're selling a full inventory of turnips on your lunch break, it would be nice to forego this exchange with Reese.

Really, I would just like to be able to have two ordinances at a time. I'm happy with the ones we've got already. But I would want the bell boom ordinance and the beautiful town ordinance because I HATE watering flowers and I love collecting bells.

I remembered a problem I came across with ordinances, I wanted to build 2 windmills but I could only build 1. I found out when I couldn't see it in the ordinance menu after building the first windmill. It would be a really simple fix to just have text saying if there is a build limit for certain projects :S

The dictator ordinance. I rule over the town with an iron fist and all the villagers will give me free stuff, and I will get discounts at stores.
