What movies are you all looking forward to this year?

I'm looking forward to/want to see the following:

The Avengers
The Raven
The Dictator
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Slayer (for the lulz of course)
and there was one other movie I can't think of

Everyone here wants to see the Avengers, and i dont see the big deal about it...

It looks entertaining, but I personally don't think it will be better than any of the individual movies. Part of the reason so many people want to see it is because it is over-advertised. I am constantly seeing car insurance and frozen pizza commercials advertising The Avengers.

I saw it last weekend. It was definitely solid for the superhero genre, but nothing spectacular.

The Avengers sucked don't watch it. Biggest waste of 3 hours. Luckily my friend had a bootleg version so I didn't pay anything to see that ****ty movie.

Half of the super heroes were just like normal people killing these BA aliens dudes. There's a girl with a pistol, a guy with a bow and arrow that shoots them once and they die, and Samuel L Jackson who doesn't do anything in the movie. You only see hulk for like 10 minutes. Captain America was somehow frozen in the ocean and that's how they explain how he's in present time. Not to mention he's just a soldier with a stupid shield. All he does is throw it and punch people. How is that supposed to stop an army? Thor is brothers with the antagonist which doesn't make any sense. Especially when he says his father adopted him (the bad guy). I didn't know that Gods could adopt baby gods. Thors brother hypnotizes the guy with the bow so easily. Why didn't he just do that to all of them? The first half of the movie were The Avengers coming together, and it was so slow. They actually catch the bad guy, but he escapes because the super heroes ****ed it all up by fighting each other. The hulks secret behind staying calm was ****ing stupid too. His secret was that he stayed mad. IF YOU STAY MAD WOULDN'T YOU STAY THE HULK? I have no idea how this movie got positive reviews. The whole movie was just Iron Man flying around doing EVERYTHING because everyone else were just normal people. I wanted them to fail so bad at the end hahaha!

Lol my friends went to the premier midnight session here, lol sux 2 b them

Not sure if serious or...

I already watched The Avengers (which was p great), so The Dark Knight Rises is the only one that comes to mind.

I've heard it was the best Avengers movie ever made, but I'm not one to watch super-hero themed movies, so I wouldn't know.

I'm also looking forward to Brave. I know Justin is too...

Are you really complaining about the lack of realism in a film that depicts a version of the world entirely conceived in fantasy? I know suspending your disbelief for a few hours isn't the cool thing to do, but seriously....

Don't they always go for the realistic type of theme for all of the characters movies? And I think all the hype it got just tore it down for me. But what do you care? It's just my opinion.

I don't understand what you mean by "realistic type of theme". The movies are live action (partially, at least), if that's what you mean. Realistic? They established the characters in the real world, yes. But giving a "backstory", so to speak, to the elements of the movies that exist outside the realm of plausibility doesn't make them any less fantastical. All I'm saying is it's inconsistent to talk about the impossibility of, say, a hyper-accurate archer taking down some sort of flying vehicle manned by extraterrestrial demigods while ignoring said extraterrestrial demigods.

And no **** it's your opinion. I can't critique it?
