How do you know their personality?
You know their personality by how they talk. For example, if they're talking about being a pop star, their peppy.
Bugs in the floor-Lazy
Themselves-Snooty
Complaining about things-cranky
Something in between-usually uchi, sometimes smug or cranky
Muscles-Jock
Being a popstar-peppy
quoting things-normal
about lip gloss or you-smug
Smug, Jock, Lazy, and Cranky villagers are male
Uchi, Peppy, Normal, and Snooty Villagers are Female
If this is not helpful, try searching their name on google, and their should be a short article about them.
e.g.
Google [marshal animal crossing]
Marshal is a smug villager, etc., etc.

Roald is going to be replaced by Purrl.
Everyone else is staying, although Cherry, Filbert, and Lolly will get cycled for their real homes. I actually like the peppy default better than Flora's, so I'm keeping her as is.
