What Keeps You From Resetting?

You can still change your town theme and reset your town with keeping your file.

I've done it before. ;)

I considered this, but honestly the fact that it would be a Zen town with a Swedish name and characters would drive me crazy.

Anyway, I did it. I reset. I failed my one year challenge, but hopefully this means I get to build the town of my dreams.

The thought of having to get the train station upgrade, all the badges, and everything unlocked again, stops me resetting.

boy did this come at the wrong time! i don't. i just reset again today after not playing for almost a year. i don't really have attachment to progress; i'm fine with whichever villagers i get, whatever happens in my town. i don't play for 100%, i play to relax. sometimes my towns feel stuffy and stagnant, and at that point i pack my bags and start over.

I have 6 copies and have been thinking of resetting my Gables town, but I started playing and I just can't do it. I put so much thought into the characters houses, and I love some of the rooms I created.

I then thought I would reset my Sunshine town because I never liked the town layout, but once again, I started playing and I just can't get rid of my Smurfs, hundred acre wood, Rainbow Brite and even my Looney tunes house. Too much work went into each room.

UGH I know how that feels I wanna reset but I have caught almost all my encyclopedia, I will lose the pwp's and just like the progress I made.

I'm so bad at not resetting when it comes to Gamecube. I'll gradually stop playing. Then in a few months I'll see some different train station that I like or Nook's Shop isn't in the right acre or the grass isn't the right pattern so I reset.

I think that my villagers and all the furnitures (non-orderable since you can keep your catalog if you sell your town) I have made me have a hard time resetting but I did it and was really pleased of my town, it gave me motivation to play !

Update: I ended up resetting again because I couldn't stand my villagers or my map, and because Chow was moving in and I can only handle being terrified of one villager at a time. I kept the names and my mayor's face, though. Hopefully, this will be the last time I reset.

The thought of having to deal with getting PWPs again! That's the abosolute worst time consumption! Plus all of my work on my town as far as landscaping goes. I've haven't progressed a whole lot into other things like badges unless I naturally obtain them by accident xD

Honestly it's laziness because I can't be bothered to go through all the trouble of unlocking everything again. I have a lot of medals and all golden tools as well. So even though I am not quite statisfied with my town, I don't think it's worth resetting, also because it will probably end up having the same problems.

I don't reset because I wouldn't want to try to trade for all of the rare items that you can't order. And then I would need the wetsuits from Club Tortimer again. The horror. When I get bored I just make an alt account in my town. I recently started a third character.
