I have some areas that are just so small its kinda hard decorating them. What furniture do u use when u face this kind of situation?

It depends on how small and what's around it. Sometimes I keep it simple and just plant some greenery or make a pond. Lights work well in most places or a stall

Flowers, bee hives, green leaf piles, garden lanterns, gnomes, decoy ducks, signposts, campfires, log stools, log stakes, garden rocks, birdhouses, more flowers... Sometimes I pick one larger item and put these around that, to fill things out a little bit more.

How big of a space is it? Is it against a cliff? I usually just take into consideration what the space is and what can fit there. Then I try multiple different things (by crafting a TON of stuff lmao) until I’m happy with how it looks 😄

just the endless green carpet my guy

but in serious I usually resort to benches or weeds. Or snapping turtles. My spaces are pretty open because getting around efficiently is a higher priority to me. I love the decoy ducks but idk if I have the energy to just spam them everywhere

Can you post some pictures for us so that we may provide more area specific suggestions?

Depending on how small the area is, I sometimes create small garden plots (2x2) or fill it with a bench and some bushes. I love having picnics areas all over my island, so sometimes I’ll place a lot table with some seating and put out a picnic basket or tea or something. Depending on if the area you’re filling had a theme, you could fill it with some kind of lighting that matches the theme, a tree or one of the DIYs some people have mentioned like the beehive or leaf piles or garden rocks. Some of the small spaces on my island have become the most fun as a result!

Not really satiafied hiw i filled this area

I like using lots of different fences to fill out small spaces. Like, throw down some of the hedges, then toss a couple of Imperial fences in front of it, then add flowers or the tall stone garden lantern. I don't like using a lot of indoor furniture outdoors, so sticking with statues, lighting and garden-y stuff is mostly what I do.

depends on what you're going for. i can see enough room for at least one more tree. if you want to keep the area tree-free, i would add some "borders" with the hedge fence. maybe throw in a few bushes and flowers. i like to put down one tile of the dark dirt path, sometimes with the barbed wire fence or stone fence on top of it. uh. you could use weeds. bamboo basket. maybe the iron garden bench. log stakes + tall stone lanterns are very good. a beekeeper's hive maybe.

just an example:
