I would just like to get the general consensus of how others earn bells. I've heard many talk about the oh-so-profitable (I did this everyday for a month straight once) beetle hunting, but I believe that there are other methods that may be used as a reliant, stable source by TBT members. Please note that this is a poll on ACNL bells, and not TBT bells.

Edit 1: I forgot to use a poll, so I guess tally it is. I'll try to check as frequently as possible, and update it here, which is sort of a good thing, because of the abundance of ways to earn them.

Edit 2: If you list multiple, I will only list the first. It helps in the sense that we can see how many people voted. And you guys are pulling up some things I should be doing, but don't due to laziness. xP

Beetle/Shark Hunting: 6
Turnips: 5
Fruit Orchards/Perfect Fruit: 1
Re-Tail: 2

I enjoy doing turnips from time to time, but since you gotta keep an eye on the forums for a bit to get good prices, it's hard to do a lot.

My top three would probably be:

1. Island bugs/sharks.
2. Selling coffee beans and gems at inflated prices to my villagers.
3. Daily money rock.

I'd like to do turnips too, but I don't usually play on Sunday mornings.

i usually go to the island, but a recent turnip spike raked in a lot of cash :')

oh but i also enjoy making my villagers buy overpriced fossils

I sell perfect fruit between my towns (TT, obviously). Can't be bothered with turnips. Works a treat. :)

My main source of bells has been the Re-Tail boards on here. I sold lots of hybirds and they really added up. Also sold a lot of junk I've has stored up. Second to that would be the Island beetle/shark hunting.

Selling island items to other members of this forum. Or at least that's what it was when I used to be active. Now I have a new town and am using fruit.

I went crazy on turnips one day when my other NL game had a really good sell price. Got 100mil and haven't had a reason to earn anymore since then so yeah, turnips :)

Turnips. I actually only got 12 million when I did it for the first ( and only time) and that seems to be enough ( for now). I still have 4 million but I think I might have to do it again. I used to catch bugs but that ruined the game for me, it's so boring.

My main source of bells would be bug catching on the island, but that's only when I'm not lazy. For the most part, I just use the money rock, sell fossils, and any furniture I get I put it in re-tail and adjust the price to the maximum amount a villager will pay for it.

First it was beetle hunting. Then I started in the villager trade. Then I progressed to the Re-Tail board with clothing and furniture.

Now Turnips are the main source of my income. I'm juuuuust under 400mil, trying to get to 1bil, because I'm ridiculous~

sitting around and doing nothing owo

Actually I sell things, and I have about 5 million in my ABD {So poor i know :'(}
but i really dont want to have a whole town of turnips, or have to spend hours beetle farming.

I used to do a lot of beetle hunting. And then I started with turnips. Oh, and beetle hunting + lazy camper exploit got me some good cash.

Now I don't really do anything than just selling my unneeded items on TBT and gamefaqs.

Used to be the island, but I tried turnips for the first time last weekend and earned more bells than I had ever had in less than 10 minutes. If I actually empty out my inventory for just turnips, I'm sure it'll be very profitable.
