What is your favorite villager personality type?

I positively love cranky villagers. They may be mean (or at least in older AC games) at first, but once you warm up to them they start to befriend you and it's so magical. In NL and NH they're so endearing. <3 That probably explains why my favorite villager is Apollo (a cranky eagle), haha. I also really like their voices/Animalese, I think it's really cool. For some reason I don't really get cranky villagers in general, and when I do it's one that I don't like. So glad that Cesar moved out of my NL town.

mine is normal! i’ve just always loved the designs of the normal villagers the most, and think that their dialogue is absolutely heartwarming most of the time. lazy is definitely my second favourite, though.

I like the normal personality type as well, but sometimes the dialogue gets boring in my opinion. That’s why normal is probably my second favorite.

Jock is my favorite personality type. I love my jock dog, Mac. I think normal is my second favorite personality type. I pretty much like them all aside from snooty. Snooty villagers are rude.

Overall, I prefer the cranky villagers in the older games. My sense of humor can be rather... dry and irreverent I suppose are the words I might use. And the cranky villagers treating the player like their very existence was the worst thing to ever happen to society is exactly the kind of thing I enjoy.. It's like a game where you become best friends with Oscar the Grouch. How could anyone not love that?!

But the newer games have such a very different personality from the GameCube game. In New Leaf and New Horizons, I would probably say that normal types are my favorite. I've mentioned this in a previous thread, but I find them to be pleasantly boring. They're not terribly eccentric or exciting, but their (relatively) down to earth designs and eloquent manner makes them extremely pleasant to be around.

My favorite is definitely sisterly.
-I love how spunky they are.
-Their style of clothing and house interior is usually the coolest.
-In conversations with other villagers, they will stand up for others to no end. They’re so fierce! One time, a snooty villager with complaining the town wasn’t stylish enough for the standards and my uchi villager told them, “Our town is perfect just the way it is!”
-Getting sweet letters and compliments from them is really rewarding after breaking through their tough exterior. I like it way more than villagers that are already nice (like normal and peppy). I think cranky is my second favorite for that same reason. I love getting sweet letters from cranky and intimidating villagers.

I really love the normal, sisterly and peppy personalities. Just because I have a lot of normal villagers on my island, I chose normal as my favourite in the poll, though my favourite villager is a sisterly type and I wouldn't have it any other way!

I would normally say Jock. But I have realized that the amount of my favorite cranky villagers outnumber my favorite jocks. So I guess that means I really like Crankies.

It's really weird that in previous games, I disliked the lazy personality. But in New Horizons, it's my favourite!

Somehow I relate to them. They have such a great imagination. They think creatively and outside the box. But that does not mean they don't have dark thoughts. Again, I can relate! The lazy villager appreciates the little things in life. They also understand that everyone's different and that's okay. Because they care. And because they care, they are capable of learning from their mistakes. They, um, know things. They are always up for new experiences. Their sense of adventure is a wonderful thing to behold.

I could go on and on. But... what's that, I hear? Too much bug talk? Obsession with food? I'm not bothered. The lazies are the most interesting to me because they are not perfect little angels. I love them.

I love the sisterly personalities. They're the only personality(imo) that doesn't go out of their way to be bffs the first time they meet you. They just seem so much more multidimensional.

i absolutely adore the normal villagers, they're so gentle and kind ♡ i also love the peppy villagers. both are so heartwarming!

In New Leaf it was a tie between Smug and Snooty, due to a combination of both their dialogue and their featuring a number of favorite villager designs. However, due to some changes to Smug in New Horizons, the Snooty personality is now my undisputed favorite.

I still love Smugs, but yeah. Cranky has probably unseated Smug as my favorite for the males in this game at least though.

I adore peppy villagers. Most of the villagers I like are peppy. They're just so hyper and cheerful and it really makes me smile. That positivity is awesome!

I also really like snooty villagers too. Them calling me darling all the time makes me smile too. Plus I like their designs.

Can you tell I just like cute villagers that make me smile? Lol
