I have a boyfriend that I've been in a relationship for three years.

I'm pretty sure I know what true love is.

But you know it could end in a snap just like that! Jk may you and him be together forever! Btw I was quoting frozen.

Never NEVER confuse true love for lust. Most teen romance things get that wrong and I think many confuse that. I think the true love is the more platonic, the calmer version. The one that makes you simply care and protect.

Eh just my two cents.
Vaati sig OMG!!!!!!! Now I know what true love is and this is it!!!

If you're just going to spam and question people's opinions on this thread please leave, we don't need it here.

Mostly commitment.. which you don't get that much nowadays. The magical feeling of your adoring your loved one might fade, but with commitment the relationship won't. I'm speaking about that crush like feeling that you get usually when you've just met somebody perfect. It really does not last, which is sad since alot of relationships are based on that feeling.

I think love doesn't exist. After long enough, the feelings are gone. Also, I don't think people can commit fully and faithfully forever.

*I am a pessimist.

True love is to actually have strong feelings for someone. It is unconditional and has nothing to do with things such as looks or anything regarding *the unmentionable s word*. The love is from within.

I am going with commitment, I do not believe in true love at all, it is a fallacy at best. Everything in this life is fleeting moments, love is no different. It's pure commitment plain and simple, By that logic, since it wasn't true love, it's not that "special". Its silly. If a deep bond and unwavering connection ( that we have to work at ) isn't special, I rather that over most peoples idea of true love lol

I personally believe in true love. Especially when I see my grandparents from my father's side, they really love each other and always there for each other. But then, you have to find the right person, and you don't always find it sadly :/

It happens though... People get married and stay together until they die. It happens.

I don't believe in the idealistic sense of love where it's this grand and glorious thing that happens to you when you spot someone in a coffee shop and you ride off into the sunset together. Love is a lot more than that. It is a commitment in a lot of ways, because it goes beyond an emotion you feel for someone else, wanting to be with them or everything being wonderful all the time- love is work. Anything you put effort into is worth a lot. Love is a very broad spectrum, there's so many different kinds and the way we show it can range so much, but in the end, it seems to me that it's about the effort you put into being invested in someone else and what that means for your lives together. People can be very selfish, so something that overcomes that need to self-serve, for someone else...that can be quite extraordinary.

true love is when infatuation fades and you love the person for who they are and would sacrifice yourself for them if the situation called for it. love is much more than just cuddling and kissing, its a need to protect and to care for that person. love is just really deep to me.
