What is the shortest amount of time it took you to get a villager's photo, and whose was it?

I received Audie's this morning after first meeting her on an island trip September 4th. That's 19 calendar days between being introduced and subsequently receiving her photo. As soon as it was an option, I gifted her wrapped blue rose or natural mum wreaths on a daily basis. 19 days later, and my main room has a new wall ornament.

What about you? What is the shortest amount of time you've spent with a new villager before they gifted you their picture?

With time travel? 1 whole real life day.

If you go by the actual game days, I think I got Merengue in like 35ish game days. I wasn't keeping track really. I also don't gift furniture or clothing to the ones I'm cycling.

I'm pretty sure you can get them much faster if you just TT to their birthdays over and over again.

i'm still trying to achieve my first portrait. i purchased the game in the beginning of june, and it's been my first experience being able to play animal crossing myself, so i had absolutely no idea you could even get portraits from your villagers until i registered here. i also had no idea your villagers prefer to be talked to about 15 times a day, so i think it's going to take me some time still to acquire my first one. fingers crossed it's either from lobo or octavian c:

wouldn't TT to a villagers birthday still deminish their friendship level with you? only assuming that because technically it'll be a year without talking? (i honestly don't know a thing about TT and what it's cons are for relationships)

I got my first photograph from Hopper. It took me looong though, as I'm really bad at giving gifts in the game itself. I think I've had Hopper since June, maybe even longer?

Alfonso's was second, and I got that last week. He's been around since pretty much the beginning: I invited him from a Nook miles island as one of the first villagers I could invite to join.

So yeah, I'm really bad at getting/collecting photographs from villagers. I also don't mind letting some of them go without ever achieving that level of friendship.

My starter jock was Boone, but he left before I received his photo.
He came back from a different island's void about...a month ago? So I decided, 'alright, clearly I'm being told to keep him around for a photo! I can handle this!'
Fast-forward to Boone actually being around, and it was seriously Invasion of the Body Snatchers. (For what it's worth, I only know the original 1950s version) It was the same character model but NOT the same Boone, and I had vibes of 'clearly I cannot keep him around for over a month and do this the usual way.'
I did the wrapped-bell method (which has since been patched) with a friend visiting to snap him out of being over-talked and I received his photo the next day. (incidentally, he was crafting a pitfall seed at that time, plotting my downfall, eh?)
I think overall it was three days. I got lucky with fulfilling multiple requests revolving around Boone on day 1 after unpacking.
I also had luck with the campsite RNG bringing along someone I regretted passing up island-hopping, so I'm Boone-free once more. Don't get me wrong, I like the gorilla, but I've had my time with him on NH.

I'm not too proud of it but...*shudder* Invasion of the Boone Snatchers. 😬

Edit for @6iixx: you don't particularly lose friendship points by TT-ing years at a time. You can't even lose villagers that way anymore! But it is possible to go back and forth between two days of the same week within the year to grind birthdays, which I believe @Sharksheep was referring to. The only con is that it fills up your Nook Miles stamps quickly, which is a major con if you're trying to fill it up naturally.

I think I got Ankha's photo within three or four weeks (before she ever asked me to change her greeting). It was a total curveball. Meanwhile, Goldie was my first normal villager, and she gave me her photo after three months. XD

Yes, sorry, without TT'ing. I thought it seemed fast that I had gotten Audie's, seeing as all the others were no less than 25 days minimum.

I Forgot when i got My sweet bird Phoebe. She new New to the island and she was the 1st of the early one then the others as i did not made a Rush to get them till i got one photo from one of my villager. I Forgot who so it not a race in my mind eye as i do not like to go NCIS on it.

I think I got Dotty’s photo in about three weeks, four at the most. It was a crazy fluke of rng luck, as I didn’t even know she was at a high enough friendship level, because I hadn’t even ever been asked to reset her catchphrase, let alone give her a secret greeting. I was totally shocked! But in a good way.

I never kept track tbh, but I’ll try my best to estimate. I think the fastest may have been with Raymond - I got his picture within 1-2 weeks of when I bought him from someone. I tt heavily (1 day forward and back) and farm Gulliver/gullivarr/ Redd. I used to gift each day and each round of tting I did. I was using the wrapped bells trick and initially I gifted him diy workbenches but stopped not long after and did the stacked coconuts trick instead. Now that I think about it, It might have took less with Cyd, a temporary even without the wrapped bells trick. I had him for only about a week (maybe a bit over) and just got his picture a few days ago. I wish I kept track of how long it took to give a more accurate answer.

Punchy - my number 1 favorite cat and villager took the longest. He took months I believe.

There's a lot of other factors involved. If you do just pure gifting with wrapped fruit everyday and no requests, you can start getting the photo on day 31. Obviously doing the bug/fish, delivery, furniture gifting, and delivery requests will speed this up. There's also the lost items, treasure hunt game, and birthdays. I think that's it

Correct. I was just simply asking what is the shortest amount of time (without TT'ing) it has taken someone to receive a picture. I only asked because I got mine from Audie in 19 calendar days. I met her on an island on September 4th, and received her photo on September 23rd in exchange for a Natural Green Mum Wreath.

I think my first picture took 20 days, and it was Reneigh my starter sisterly. That was the fastest I had gotten a pic, and I realize that the gifting system was much different at the start of the game vs now. Others after her took much longer

I believe the fastest for me was Static at around 22 or 23 days in total. Always nice when a villager gifts their photo that quick, as I've had multiple times where it has taken 60+ gift wrapped items to finally get one.

first villager photo I got was Merengue's and it took around 2 months I believe. I didn't start focusing on actively giving them wrapped fruit until recently so I had a decent amount of friendship built up beforehand, but getting her pic was a pleasant surprise.

I've never gotten a portrait because all I do is talk to my villagers if I pass by them while playing. I don't actively seek them out usually, and I refuse to send gifts to them because I don't like messing up their homes or clothes. My priorities are in the wrong place but I don't really care, if it takes me 5 million years to get their portraits so be it. 😂

I expect to get one within the first game play year. Hopefully 😩
I have yet to get one.
I need to do less island designing and maybe interact with my villagers more.
