What is the deal with power saves and this game?

You see a lot of people post on how they've lost their dreamies, mainly because a lot of people have other things going on in their life and can't be playing the game every day and making sure no one moves. I was wondering, why don't people just invest in a power save if they really don't want to lose anyone?

I know someone is going to post saying it's not allowed on here or ignore this post because it talks about something so "bad".but to be fair, if you want to cheat you're going to cheat. Regardless of the rules you'd do it and just not say anything. But using a power save for the purpose of backing up your game only doesn't make you a cheater. I guess I just don't understand it is all. I'm sure they're enough people who can ignore using cheats to play the game the way it was meant to be played, but would also feel better knowing all the hard work was backed up >< it's no different than if Nintendo released a backup device for the game and people using that. ><

And be tempted to use the other functions on it too

Power save doesn't really do anything drastic though. From what I've read it's quiet annoying to use. I mean I'm sure people are fine with cycling or what not, but it's just the people that get so upset when someone moves, I always wondered why not just backup your game if it's that important to you ><

I really think Nintendo should release something like it, the same in terms of how it backs up with no cheats though >< it'd even be good for people who randomly have the data corrupt as I imagine that is a nightmare to deal with

Of course people are going to cheat and use powersaves. We can't prevent that, the only thing we don't want people doing is selling/trading/buying/auctioning/giving away etc hacked items/bells/villagers on the forum. We know it happens, we're not blind to it but we just don't want that stuff on the forum because it can ruin peoples games. If a person wishes to back up their game, they're more than welcome to. If they wish to hack, they're more than welcome to. They're just not allowed to give out their hacked items through the forum.
