try breeding on the beach, arranging flowers so that they're beside each other with space between them and maybe use purple violets on purple violets? oh and if you've got the beautiful town ordinance in place, it might help to water the flowers you're trying to breed with a golden watering can- but just those flowers.
the purple x purple's just a suggestion though. i didn't actually breed on the beach, but they were the easiest to come by for me and i remember them spawning from those two colors in my town haha

I also suggest having them diagonal!
It's proved to be pretty effective for me so far especially from a diamond formation, as that one has spawned me two hybrids in one night.
Diagonals give them more space to breed and it's easier to tell which ones are new.
I have most of mine placed on the beach so they don't get ruined by movers and very rarely do villagers place other flowers there.
I would check your breeding flower formations at least once before you quit playing to make sure there are no random flowers in between from your villagers. c:
