What if you cut down a baby tree?

If you cut down a baby tree, it just leaves a small stump. It won't finish growing.
Yeah, I will stay as a thin stump. It won't die or dissapear. You can't sit on it though.
It makes tiny adorable stumps. same if you cut it a day later, but the stump gets bigger and bigger as the tree does. it can look really cute in landscaping!

So then, does that mean that when I cut it tiny, it will get bigger until it's full grown, or if I cut it in the middle stage, it will get bigger until it's full grown?

yeah like what other users have said, they'll just turn into baby stumps. kinda cute if you ask me. you can use them to like create a gate or something. idk. get creative with them.

The reason I asked was because I remember trying to make a baby stump on the gamecube version years ago and I'm pretty sure my stump disappeared a day later!
I could be remembering wrong though!Anyways, I'm glad I can have little stumps in this game!
