What if: Villager Nicknames

We all know that villagers can give us a nickname, but what if they had added a mechanic or something that allows you to give them a nickname.

Stiches: Corduroy
Alfonso: Alpha
Rolf: Chase
Marshal: Chalino
Bam: Mayweather or Marquez

I saw someone on Tumblr calling Puddles "Puddlebug" and I would probably call Puddles that too if I could, hehe.
