What heavy metal bands do you like

Wow, if all anti-Metal posts in this topic weren't from established members, I'd swear we were under attack by trolls. A bunch of ill-informed and/or lousy-at-what-they-do trolls.
Though I do understand general feeling, most metal DOES sound alike and by most metal I mean the garbage that plays over the air waves and on MTV/VH1 here in the states and elsewhere. Posers like Killswitch Engage and All That Remains are not true metal, just like Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber aren't real people, but talentless sentient piles of garbage that emit strong pheromones that make people like them.
For real metal, you either have to look back in time;
Black Sabbath, Skid Row, Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer ect
or in other countries;
Sonata Arctica, Gamma Ray, Helloween, Edguy, Avantasia, Hammerfall, Blind Guardian, Northern Kings etc
It pains me to see so many people confusing Death and Black metal for the majority of the genre. Metal, especially Power, Melodic and Symphonic metal, is just ace. Wash that confusion away with the following songs.
