Hi there! I have a very specific question, and I'm wondering if anyone has tried this before?
When you make an additional player character, you're given a tent to set up. However, you can save and exit the game before setting down your tent. If you load the save with that additional character, you start at Resident Services instead of exiting out of your home. You can presumably just have an extra character without a home for an indefinite amount of time.
I made an extra character, but I don't have a spot for his house yet. Because he doesn't have a mailbox yet, my main character can't send mail to him, and my extra character can't use the card stand at all; both times, it says that my extra character can't receive mail.
However, I tried to purchase art from Redd and, surprisingly, the game let me do that.
So... has anyone else tried this and knows what will happen now? Does Redd's mail get saved until my extra character gets a tent and then it gets sent? Does the mail just vanish into the void and never gets sent? Or something else? If I have to, I'll just put down his tent and move it later, but I'm just curious if the game has a failsafe or if this is just an oversight since the game prevents mail from being sent otherwise.
