what happens if you choose ''move to another town''?

so when i always log in with my mule the move to another town option would always be there and im just wondering what would happen if you choose that option. do u move to another player's town?

I've done that before actually. One of my secondary villagers, Rose, was so awesome, I made her a town of her own

I did it a few years back.I started a second character in my first New Leaf town but I wasn't playing her a lot so I moved her out to be mayor of her own town.

It's not the first time in AC the move option is available.

My son moved his character to my town when he didn't want his town anymore, and that was in Wild World.

Also, I'm pretty sure this option doesn't let you move to an already existing town. It's pretty useful, since I've let other people create a character in my town to try out the game. It's nice they could just move out with their existing character.

In Wild World there is only one place a character moving out can go. An existing town!

Interesting. I'm too not familiar with Wild World, so I don't really know these things.

I also remember that in City Folk, there was an option to transfer your Wild World character to City Folk. I'm pretty sure it transferred some of your progress such as feathers and the catalogue.
