What happens if someone says they're moving and you TT backwards?

My date is currently set to 7th of January (had to TT someone out to get lovely Celia off my friend)

Ch?vre just said she's moving on the 12th. If I go back to today (1st of January) will she be gone as I want her to leave? Or will I have to wait until the 12th? Is it safe that I won't lose anyone else if I go straight back? So confused!

Thank you! :)

Time travelling backwards actually counts as one day -- so if you go backwards, she'll move out on the 11th. If you go forwards again, it will be bumped to the 10th. The amount of time will get shorter and shorter until she's eventually in boxes. I had this happen to me -- a villager moved out two days before the date they gave me because I TT'd back and forth.

EDIT: Oh! I see what you're saying. No, in that case... TT'ing back to today will count as one day... But her move date will be bumped to, I think four days from now? So she'll be moving out on the 5th.

TTing backwards counts as one day. So even if she says she'll be leaving on the 12th, she might leave on the 11th instead.

I had a villager tell me she was leaving, and Gracie came to town. To get all of the checks done, I TTed one day forward and one day back and eventually, the villager moved out even though it wasn't her moving day yet.

Villagers move out after five days after they get the desire to move. TTing forward and backwards will deduct one day and make them move out faster.

Interesting, thanks! So if I move back day by day I should be able to get rid of her sooner?

If you want to get rid of her sooner, you may as well TT forward to her moving date and she'll be in boxes. Then when you TT back to present day, she'll be gone with the move out letter in your mailbox.

And there'll be no chance of anyone else moving in that time? If I TT from 12th back to 1st? Is it safe?

TTing backwards only counts as one day. Always.

It also depends on how many villagers you have at the moment too. Eight or less, someone new will move in, but I don't think it will be the next day after someone has just moved out.

If you were at nine, there's nothing to worry about unless you somehow picked up a villager via streetpass.
