What happened to my villagers?

Recently, all my villagers have reverted back to the speech you get when you first start the game, where they teach you how to look up the sky or use the camera to take a picture.... WHY, we have been together for 18 months and I have all of your pictures in my house??? Why are you all acting like you don't know me?? *cries*

Maybe they ran out of things to say?? I dunno once, I think it was Erik, was telling me about the camera and I've been playing for over a year. Or it could be that they're glitching or something... Well, as long as they don't introduce themselves to you, I'm pretty sure they at least remember you.

my villagers will sometimes teach me how to use the camera, get ore, etc. and then the next second i talk to them it'll go back to normal. they probably just filtered around to telling you that old info again.

in my experience, it just happens randomly, so maybe its just a recycled conversation for when they run out of things to say?

I have a feeling it could be occurring if you took a short break from the game, but i'm not sure other than that

I don't think anything at all has happened. I've been playing almost every day, and my villagers would always tell me how to use the camera and whatnot.

I don't think they say that stuff when you are a new player/they don't know you well, I think it's random. At least it has been in my experience. It's pretty annoying though. After hearing that you can change your equipment with the d-pad fifty times I start wishing that they had a designated tutorial for that stuff.

I've had my current town for almost 2 years, and my villagers have never stopped giving me tutorials XD I find it hilarious when they ask me if I know how to use the camera, when I've literally taken thousands of screenshots...
