What games would you recommend to people who don't play video games?

animal crossing

its not super competitive or really hard
its very peaceful and new gamers would love it

I definitely agree with what Kawaii said. Animal Crossing is definitely a good game for someone who's never played video games before. That and the Sims, maybe? Possibly Sims 3. I'd also highly suggest Minecraft...

I think there's quite a few casual games I could suggest to someone whose just starting to play or just aren't a regular gamer? I would definitely suggest Animal Crossing because it's a very casual and slow paced game, and then also other games like Stardew Valley or Slime Rancher. I guess it also really depends on like, what the person would possibly like best? Like for shooters I'd honestly suggest something like the Borderlands Series. Really any Mario or a few Sonic games even if they might like Plat formers.

While I consider Animal Crossing is a great game, I think for people like my mom it's still too complicated. Solitaire games like this is always an option due to simple rules and graphics.

I strongly believe that gaming is like books, TV shows, movies and anime - no matter what your preference is, there's always something you will like. It's not as specific of a hobby as, say, sewing or writing where if you don't like it - you won't enjoy it. Gaming nowadays has everything for everyone! ^_^ Even JRPG, a genre which has been very straight-forward back in the day, is very different from what it was.

When it comes to casual players, I'd try to figure out what they would personally be interested in and then go from that. For example, if that person has played some games in the past and likes Disney - I'd recommend them Kingdom Hearts series. It's pretty much a JRPG with Disney characters, but it's somewhat difficult, too. Playing it that person would feel motivated because of their favorite characters and they'd get accustomed to the way JRPG are since the game explains most of the concepts.

If they're absolutely new to gaming, I'd suggest something cinematic. One of the Sony exclusive games. Or maybe just good old Nintendo titles (Yoshi, Mario) - these aren't cinematic, but very good for anyone who's new to gaming. :3

I say play some splatoon 2 and animal crossing, as well as some Mario kart and maybe even some final fantasy there all amazing games

Id recommend a racing game for multiplayer like mario Kart. If they were into horror I?d recommend some single player story graphic novel games like until dawn haha. I would suggest acnl but from my experience a lot of my friends couldn?t get into how slow paced it is and they rather play a simulation game like Sims3/4. It?s best to know what they?re into first. A good starting point is finding out whether they prefer single player or playing with others.

i feel like hack and slash games are pretty easy for beginners. there's no exploring to do, and the gameplay is very linear, something like Dynasty Warriors (before 9) and Hyrule Warriors

I would say either a WarioWare game or something like Luigi's Mansion, alternative Super Mario Sunshine.
