What Furniture or furniture capabilities do you wish existed in the game?

I've been obsessing over this look on Pinterest, I would love to have a second floor that was visible in the same room as the first! The possibilities would be endless!

Yes exactly that would look amazing in-game if they made it possible.

I'd like for there to be more variety in general. Since they seem to be capitalizing on the fact that this game is a "customization" focused game rather than a "get-to-know-your-neighbor" type of game, I'm pretty disappointed that the furniture selections are so limited. I'd especially like some more tables that are 1 or 2 tiles big.

Wish ALL the beds could have the sheets and covers customized, in most cases the bedding is too bland.
More interaction with items like the teacup ride or the pools.
Let us get inside the bathtub.
Let us place more stuff in shelves.
Let us phone our villagers.
Edit: all these ideas are so cool, wish there was a way to make Nintendo know about them x.x

Yeah one thing I was most excited abut when NH was announced was an animal crossing game with HHD designing capabilities incorporated as well as gorgeous items showcased in PC. I was pretty disappointed when neither of these things, designed for less powerful platforms weren't put into the game. Curtains, ceiling decorations, staircases and some more creative sets similar to pocket camp ones would be great. It will be interesting to see what nintendo decides to do in future updates!

Being able to choose on your own if you want windows in your rooms and what kind of design as well as shape they should have would be really nice. The fact that the windows change their appearance or even disappear completely depending of what kind of wallpaper you use starts to get pretty annoying, this became by far my least favorite "feature" about NH. There are so many wallpapers with amazing looking designs which I'm not using at all however just because I hate how they effect the windows afterwards. I wouldn't mind paying Tom Nook some bells just to get the freedom of to do what I want with the windows.

Besides this, I wish you could decide how many rooms you want, if you want a second floor and/or basement without being forced to build the other rooms first (this was something I already wanted back in New Leaf), how small or big a room should be along with what kind of shape it should have. It's kinda strange why they not brought back those design options from Happy Home Designer, as they were awesome (including the fact that you were also able to have actual doors for your rooms).

Otherwise, I agree with many of the points which got mentioned in this thread.

I wish you could decorate more, to give it more of a home feel. Like playing pillows or decorative blankets on furniture. I also wish you could put things on an angle. And closer together. Being able to customize any furniture in game would be nice too.

I really wish we could display wall items outdoors, such as starry garlands if you could hang them on another object (i.e. a simple panel, tree) or if it would provide supports for it freestanding on poles or something. I'd love to be able to hang some of the wall stuff outdoors as string lights and stuff!
