What Flowers Are You Using?

So I guess I've challenged myself to find a place for every single flower variation on my island, mostly utilizing combos of different color/species (neither species nor color could repeat in most of the groups/combos, and no flower could be used in more than one place) but I relaxed on that once I narrowed it down to a few species left that I couldn't put together well. It means my island as a whole doesn't have a flower motif other than what's around the entrance, but I don't mind tbh. I've about gotten it figured out now. But if I ever have to change it up for a new villager it'll be like navigating a puzzle

By themselves:
White roses - scattered around my beaches throughout my island. When trying to mix them with other flowers I just felt they were too bright.
Red roses - surrounding a set of ponds in front of my outdoor church using the wedding set
Yellow roses - surrounding my star pond behind RS, with a star fragment below them for, uh, snazziness
Red tulips - legit could not find a non-tulip that worked well with these. Too bright and tomato-y. They ended up on a weird artificial island thingy where I plan to put like a chill picnic/whatever area
White windflowers - technically with purple roses but that's only bc I have way too many purple roses, but they're between the cliff and the north river bank
Red hyacinths - in the neighborhood north of RS. couldn't put them with anything I had left

Villager house combos:
Ursala - pink tulips x white lilies
Billy - orange tulips x white mums (also have the mums growing with weeds in his yard bc he needs a well-rounded diet)
Clay - black cosmos x orange pansies
Sprinkle - blue hyacinths x white cosmos
Rodney - pink cosmos x blue windflowers
Yuka - yellow lilies x orange cosmos (may be subject to change if I replace her)
Marina (but for Melba) - pink hyacinths x green mums

Area combos:
Entrance - red cosmos x blue roses (the cosmos look like the flower on my flag, roses my native flower)
thing in front of RS - black roses x gold roses
boardwalk/shops area - red pansies x yellow pansies (put these here early on, couldn't be bothered to change them)
tropical neighborhood - pink roses, yellow tulips, orange lilies
confusion path - all purple flowers x lilies-of-the-valley
campsite forest - red lilies, yellow mums, white hyacinths, orange roses, pink windflowers, black tulips (looks kinda random lol)
other side of forest - white tulips, yellow cosmos, red windflowers, pink mums, orange hyacinths
bamboo area - white pansies, orange windflowers, pink lilies, yellow hyacinths
museum - black lilies x red mums (leftovers from everything else oof. but they look okay)

I feel like it's been raining forever so my house is currently in a sea of unrestrained flowers. I haven't made a proper effort at hybrid breeding yet, but I've started a museum garden with one of each so far. When I'm more organised I'll plant up each villager's garden with themed planting.

Each section of my island has its own colour so mostly hybrids. But theyre always different breeds never two of the same, except for my resident services where its overrun by hyacinths.

I don't have a lot of variety atm so I'm mainly using red, black and pink roses!

I am still hybrid breeding so now I grow everything, I probably will only decide which one I mainly want after I have at least 2 flowers for each type and colour.

I had the same mindset as you but I don't believe I managed to do it as well as you did. I'd love to see some pictures!

i would like to have a lil garden of all the flowers in the game bc ive seen some ppl do that & it always looks nice.

for my island as a whole, i plan on using mostly white cosmos, red & yellow lilies, and purple mums. i'll probably have a few other flowers to break up the look in some areas (like lily of the valley when i amass some), but for the most part that will be my color scheme. i also plan on using pink hydrangea, red & yellow hibiscus, and red camellia bushes.

for my beach id like to use white and blue flowers. i dont think i'll put them on the actual beach part, but ive put some sand pathing 2-3 tiles out from the beach which is where i plan to put most of my items & flowers so i can still collect clams and seashells easily.

when i make my villagers' yards id like to put flowers that correspond with them and their houses, but we shall see how that actually looks.

im planning on using red/yellow/white/pink/orange/green variations of flowers bc im trying to go vibrant with the gardening
I'll probably add blues on the beach or anywhere that looks appropriate

I use red, yellow, pink, and orange flowers (warm colors) for my downtown area and beaches....and I use pink, blue, and purple flowers (cool colors) to line my walkways outside of town. I like my town saturated in color, so i don't use any of the pastel colored hyacinths or any of the white flowers. :D It really brightens it up!

right now I'm only using pink, purple, and blue flowers on my island, but I might add yellow and orange too! (I want to use only sunset colors).

I am using all the flower types except for roses and cosmos because I don't like how they look in this game

I'm digging the use of hyacinths, especially the hybrid ones. My aim is to try and get all the available hybrid colours from each flower breed and spread them out throughout my island. I'm also thinking of removing the normal coloured flowers unless it goes well with hybrid colours. I'll try to tell myself not to go overboard with my numbers or I'll have a repeat of what I did in New Leaf...

I mostly use hybrid Colored hyacinth, white cosmos, and pink tulips, and lily of the valley.
