Arggh all these people wanting Sherb and I don't even want him on my island. I'm at max capacity but I'm trying to get rid of Chow or Quillson to make room for a cat villager. How often do villagers ask to leave??

i legit have no idea when it comes to naturally having villagers ask to move - I tt to cycle mine out.

If you are ever considering tt'ing yourself, i found this interesting thread here which seems to be a good method. I've still to try it out however.

I'm guessing from your avi that Kiki would be the cat villager you'd want to move in the most?

It’s been going alright so far, but I also TT to cycle them out. I have Maple, Judy, Marshal and I just got Sherb last night. All I need is Raymond, Peanut, Lolly, Mitzi, Beau & Audie.

I'm not questing any right now but I was thinking of making a second island on my original switch, and I'd be looking for Megan who doesn't have an amiibo. So if I do make a second island, it'll be Megan that I'm questing lol

if i could afford a second switch i would start a cycling island - I've always wanted to do one as moving villagers in and out is one of my favourite things to do lol

but as i've found through the years playing ac - sometimes villagers just surprise you with their charm, and you can't help but love them. I'd say if you like his style, give him a shot

I was searching for Cherry and Maddie, but I pretty much exhausted all of my NMT and am too broke to buy some so I lowkey just caved and bought amiibo coins for them since someone was selling them for surprisingly cheap
Other then that I’m looking for Dobie and Kyle, as well as a jock.. though I’m thinking about just substituting Dobie and Kyle for someone else if it gets too hard to find them or another villager catches my eye

Well, I have all of my cards here. Dreamies and Not-Dreamies, but still villagers I want to invite to my island, because I love having different villagers which could end up as Dreamies. The rest is Mystery Island Villagers which I randomly found.

I would want obtain some villagers on Mystery Islands, I might hunt for Bluebear, Cherry, Muffy and Lionel atm.

Lionel could make up for a cool Pirate Themed Island.

I have no cards - I was always so close to buying a zucker card but I finally got him in NH through island hopping, so i'm still riding that high tbh

have to say, i have been surprisingly lucky, though - like, i don't remember being nearly as blessed by RNG in new leaf lmao

And a pirate island legit sound so good, I'd love to see how someone approached that idea

All my Dreamies are in my signature. I did find fauna on an island and she wasn’t a dreamie, invited her and definitely gonna keep her. I don’t think I will be doing anymore island hopping for them. Already used over 140 and not found them.

Merengue is the only one I reeeally want. Super mad with myself though bc I passed on her on an island early on and then changed my mind.

Judy was big on my list, but the other day I spent 74 NMTs looking for her or Merengue and on the 74th settled for Whitney instead bc it was almost midnight lol. And Whitney is really growing on me as a snooty so I may keep her and not give myself the heartache of searching for Judy, at least until an amiibo comes out for her.

I'm sorry you've had so much trouble finding your favs, but at least you found Whitney - I love her, she is such a good villager. I had her in new leaf, when she warms up to you she is so nice

I've had nights like that, too tho - where you just sort of give up because you realise the time. I moved Lolly in last minute when i was searching for Genji the first time. I loved her but eventually moved her out again, as I had her in new leaf and wanted a change.

i have gotten very lucky so far! i found sherb, dom and judy from islands and they were my dreamies before starting my game, and after a lot of searching i adopted raymond from the forums

skye i found on an island early on and invited her since i needed a normal villager, she wasn't a dreamie villager initially but i've grown to love her and i'm absolutely keeping her! the same applies for freya, i invited her to move expecting that i would sell or trade her but once she got to my island i fell in love with her colour palette and i just love her blue paws against her pink fur! i really love her now too and am keeping her

i found bob on an island, invited him because how could i say no to someone so iconic? lol i also planned to sell or trade him, but i think now i might just give him away once the villager glitches are fixed / i might just quietly replace him with vladimir once his amiibo arrives

i scanned apple and rosie in from amiibos and have absolutely no regrets, it just didn't take much effort to get them!

That's awesome! I have also found all my villagers on the islands with the exception of Sherb.

I'm mainly looking for Coco (Once I get Marina out) and hoping for Lucky.

So far I've gotten a lot of newer villagers (Audie, Raymond, and Sherb) and I only kept Audie and Raymond was in my campsite lol.
I'm happy with I have, since I actually did get one of my dreamies - Audie!!!

As much as I'd love to get Coco, since she's been a dreamie since New Leaf, I don't feel like I'll end up getting her anytime soon ;;

I have like 20-30 villagers that I could consider dreamies, so I just let fate decide that one for me. I'm getting 3 dreamies from amiibo cards though.

Yeah i get that, there are a lot i came across on islands where I was like, "you're not on my dream list but... you should be" and adopted them after all. I imagine my list is getting quite long now, too lol (which is a good thing consider how cruel rng can be when you are looking for a very specific villager)

I haven't gotten any of my dreamies... it's not going well.. I haven't tried that hard though... I dont have the bells to trade one that's for sure... contemplating buying amiibo cards but I'm gonna see how my second island goes... kinda sad I have no inspiration to fish but I'm mad at the look of the rivers now.. as for now I only have 1 in the tier 1 that's bob.. personally I've never heard of him but I've taken a liking to him and I love him in the starter house... I would like sheldon if he had his actual house unfortunately he has a starter house so hes a loss but not totally if I can move him to my other island I suppose but his character isn't that great.. [I dont like the angry eyebrows on villagers] I'm not fond of any of my other villagers [butch, queenie, pashmina and some penguin...tex] but I do enjoy Alice's presence.. shes the only one I asked for at an island who I've never heard of also and she is in a starter house but I love the outside of her house a lot.. I haven't gone to the island much.... plan too but haven't had time hopefully tonight

None. I don't invest myself into villagers. I don't see the appeal, really.
I'm more of a decorator, even though I'm not very good at it. So I collect recipes and items, and spend a lot of time setting stuff up, mixing things around, terraforming, etc.

I love doing the whole island-hopping thing, like I could have all my dreamies and still be thinking, "but, who could i potentially find out there" whilst my character stares longingly towards the horizon

I've been distracting myself with decorating, tho - and I absolutely love it in this game. the new mechanics, as well as the new furniture additions make it reaally difficult to decide on one theme. I'm running out of rooms, and storage space..

My friends gave me a hard time when i admitted to tting lol - I can understand the gripe people have but I legit couldn't stand waiting for the exact villager i need to move out to ask me naturally... it would drive me nuts

ugh, i love Dobie so much - hope you get some good luck coming your way and are able to find him or Kyle.

I haven't come across him at all in all my island hopping - and I don't think i've ever seen him up for auction either, a lot of people might move him out quietly as he isn't one of the super popular ones - but hopefully you can come across him.

I'd check out some different ac channels on discord - a lot of the ones i visit just give villagers away, especially ones a lot of people aren't looking for - you may have some luck

Before I moved Sherb on to my island I was looking for Genji and Marshall - didn't have any luck, but tbh i thought it was only fair given how lucky I had been up to that point

Now I have a stockpile of tickets, ready for the next bought of island hopping, but no plots available, and no sign of Sherb moving out

How is your search going atm? and who is on the list of dreamies?

Also bonus Q: Come across anyone on an island who wasn't a dream resident but who you asked to move in anyway? how's that going for you?

The only one I'm looking for is Raymond. I only have 135 NMT and that's nowhere near enough to buy him. I don't like the idea of trying to find him on an island, considering the odds. I don't have a smug villager at the moment so maybe he'll be a random move in once there's space.

My wife found Marshall within 5 islands and I had to convince her to take him. I think she's willing to sell for IGB. The good news is that she doesn't care to have millions and millions of bells so he'd be affordable. The bad news is that she doesn't TT at all, so who knows how long before he asked to move.

I don't TT so my quest for Pietro is going slow. Waiting for someone to move out so I have an empty plot and I can island hop. Gonna be waiting for a while as the wrong villagers keep wanting to move out. I'll be shocked if I get him before 2021.

I'm fine going slow and steady though! It took me pretty long to get him in NL so I'm used to this.​
