What does the update do?

Today is the first time I've heard about "the update" for some reason (I spend too much time posting on Brewster's Cafe ) Can people fill me in on what it does since I've haven't been playing ACNL for a while and I've been living under a rock apparently?

Well it gives you amiibo support. You can scan people to move into your town or get people to visit your mobile campsite. And as for small details for can move furniture around like in HHD, you can now sit on rocks, when Cyrus is finished customizing your item he'll wave goodbye to you, and you can use MEOW coupons which will get you exclusive items you can't get in the store Plus there's probably a lot more stuff
