What Does the 1-5 Star Rating Do?

I've heard about special rewards you get for reaching five stars, but what do you get for achieving one through four star ratings?

other than the initial kk slider visit when you first reach 3 stars, absolutely nothing lol

edit that's for 2-4 at least, haven't had 1

5 stars gives you the golden waterman DIY and Jacob ladders (Lillies of the valley) start appearing on your island

1-2 Starts does nothing, 3 Stars triggers the "Story Credits" event (only once), 4 Star supposedly has a small chance at letting a Jacob's Ladder grow in your town and 5 Stars grants you the Golden Watering Can DIY recipe and allows Jacob's Ladder to spawn more frequently.

The only thing I got when I hit 5 stars was a golden watering can DYI and a lily of the valley flower...

Good to know. I won't bother maintaining my 3-star rating now that I got the K.K. Slider event, since I reached it by putting a bunch of random stuff all over my island. ^o^;>
