What do you write in your letters?

I honestly wrote 'qwertyuiopasdf' everytime, I just wanted the badge. ( which I got now (: ) But of course when I'm writing to another real player I'll write something meaningful.

I ended up getting the gold letter writing badge without actually aiming for it, I just wrote 8 villagers a day to increase friendship.
My letters are usually like
"Hey ____!
How are you? I'm tired/okay (usually tired haha)
I got you a gift/I found a nice shirt for you/have you talked to (new resident)/(event) is coming up!"

Sometimes I'd just ramble about my day to them though too. I aim for 3 lines of text though, I heard somewhere they recognize whether a letter is short or long but I have no idea if its true of course.

I had the audacity to try and write mean letters to my villagers telling them to move out. Either they are pretty dimwitted or overly nice and don't recognize many emotions because they write back saying how great I am.

I write more to my husband who has nestled into my village. Other than that, I'm pretty short with my letters. Like sending a couch or something and say "You'll like this. Here you go."

"I found something I thought you would like, please send me something cool in return."

It depends what it's for I guess. If I want them to wear a certain clothing item or put some furniture in their house, I'll write "hi buddy! this shirt would look good on you/this item will make your house even nicer!" and if it's just a general friendship one I'll write "I'm glad we're friends!" or "how are you today?" or something haha. It's all pretty general I guess.

I check thonky.com for what their favorite items are and attach them in a descriptive letter. Sometimes "look what I bought in another town", or "this fell out of the tree" or "i'm cleaning and you can have". If they like the gift, they send a gift back (or it seems so to me). My family also play (in same town) and they show me those letters "your breath smells", "jingle bells, batman smells, Margie laid an egg" [she loves that letter, lol]. I've also use Roses are red, Violets are blue, (something about them like) You look like a hippo, and smell like one too. Then I attach a shell or flower or fruit and it's non-descriptive. But, best way for a picture is when they ask for fruit, give them a perfect fruit. Works half the time (and repeatedly too).

And, I have the Wild World game where I was Harry from Hogwarts. I used to write about book facts: Once, my friends Ron and Hermoine and I rode on the back of a dragon to get out of the Gringotts bank. Man, I wish you would've been there. Then I'd just chuckle to myself how stupid it is. lol

First time I write a little welcome letter. After that every letter which I send daily says
Thank you
friend
friends
gift

I use that format for four lines and key words. I always attach gifts. Most of the time, 80% I get gifts back.

I write mean things to villagers who i want to move thier butt

I know that their AIs don't recognize a single thing you say -- not typos, not angry letters, not happy letters. They recieve the letter and write back whatever they're scripted to of their pool.

So, with that in mind, for the first letter that they SHOW people, I write nicely and tell them how happy I am to have them in town and how beautiful they are (considering I like them). I don't send letters to villagers I don't like. Then, after that, if I just have random paper that's taking up space, I get lazier and lazier as time goes on. It eventually becomes:

"ay gurl"
"ilu"
"youre hot"
"ur such a cutie"
"aaaaaayyyyy lmao"

Or random crap like that. I just do it to get rid of excess paper. Maybe I'm a jerk. :x I also never send them items... Wow, I AM a jerk. I love them so much haha, but writing letters bores me.

My Dearest Julian,

Your horn is so fluorescent
and so lovely.
It makes me want to sing.

It'd be a shame if something...
happened to it.

Dear Ankha,

Put this ****ing pyramid back in your house.

Jeez ho. Do you want your house to look like a hot mess?

I thought so.

You don't need that mic stand.

So, Wolfgang moved in from a different town. He moves in, and he's all "Check this letter!" The letter says "Move out I hate you." xD I thought it was a little funny...

Anyway, I actually fill up the paper because the villagers actually lower friendship if you send 1-word letters. And they know what gibberish is, too. I usually say something like "Here, take this totally useless sapling as a welcome gift to the town of Dwerll. Since I know you wont like this letter if I don't fill it up, I'll just say random words like cat dad meow chirp bird." xD

I used to write long, witty letters to people I loved and hated.

Now I just write 10 character long text-shorthand blurts, usually with lots of profanity. They probably read like the ramblings of a cult leader.

For Julian

"You're majestic.

P.S Watch out for Voldemort"

I have a HP themed town. Haha

When I write to my villagers, I write to them as if they're real, and I write until I'm on the last line. The responses I get are sometimes repeats, but their responses are sometimes realistic.
like that one time i jokingly asked eugene to go out with me and attached the chocolate heart he gave to me and his reply was "yes" and sent me a durian
