Lately I've been writing a lot of letters to my villagers to make them like me (lol) and also for badges. I read online that they recognize typos so I've been careful not to write things like "lol gimme ur pics" so now I write whatever's on my mind or song lyrics. I also write things like "I was really angry today it would make me feel better if you gave me your picture" it's not like they actually understand it anyways :P So what do you write?

Things that go along with the item i'm sending.

When i'm lazy and giving out clothing, for example, i write "hey wear this, it looks good on you", but for example, on Toy Day i sent Santa Cpats to all my villagers, telling them to warm up in these celebrations and a big mayoral-ish letter saying "guys i'm your mayor i love you all boys".

If i'm not sending any item, then i write about the weather or tips on whatever they do (ex: i send tips to Genji on how to be more warrior-ish, or to Tammi on how to be an idol). I also ask Coach for excercise routines, makes me feel like i really know my villagers and that they will answer me some day

since i am boring, and i have no ideas I usually describe the villager.

For example, if I'm writing to Maple, I'd write:

Dear Maple,

You are an awesome, cute, spectacular, fabulous, adorable, pretty, fancy, normal, above average, super, small, fluffy, bear.
Come visit soon!
~From Mayor

That's actually really cute and I have never talked about them I usually just talk about me. Sometimes I run out of ideas I think I might try this too.

I used to say: "Please suggest the police station!" But then I realized that didn't work.

That's so cute! And I agree on all of those things Maple is really adorable. I used to do this when I first started playing but I ran out of adjectives lol x_x but it's an easier way to write letters!

I used to say: "Please suggest the police station!" But then I realized that didn't work.

I used to write on bulletin boards things like "Please donate minimum is 6 thousand" or something ... Guess that didn't work either haha

I usually write things like "you are my best friend" because I wonder if they are cued to recognize certain positive words like friend etc. I also tell them I am glad they moved to Puddleby because they liven things up (and positive stuff like that).

In the beginning I used to welcome them to the town and make it all nice and legible... for the villagers I didn't particularly like I would usually threaten them a little to request PWPs for the community lol... like Shari. I think I sent her a threatening letter about evicting her if she didn't request a picnic blanket so it's pretty funny when she shows it to me and tells me how "awkward I was back then". But now I stopped writing letters altogether because I hate when they show me letters. Some of my alternate characters have sent letters to all my villagers saying "TURN UP!" and they always tell me it's so amazing. So annoying.

I write a lot of letters. Some examples are writing about the weather, what I attached to the letter, thank them for something like having me over that day or a gift they gave me, or I'll just talk about something like things I like such as TV or music.

For me, when they first move in i'll write : welcome best friend, enjoy your stay"

Other than that " hi best friend, have fun/ enjoy yourself/have a nice day"

During festival, i'll send them gifts and add the sentence, " hope you like this gift/present"

That's all, hopefully not too short....

"hi" "here" :lemon: without copy and paste, I have zero incentive to write something longer with the chance that it'll be recognised.

"Hi "friend", gimme yo pic"

and if it's villagers I hate: "Bye" or "Go away plz"

I started out letting words wrap to the next line, and now I realize that probably reads as a misspelling to them. So, I make sure to do a return for words that don't fit. With Marshal, he was wearing something hideous, so I sent him five copies and made stupid mail for each. I didn't realize it was the very first letter I sent him. So, he says, "Here is my most treasured possession." and it's a letter that says, "Here's a shirt. A shirt. Shirt. A Shirt. A Shirt." So embarrassing now.

On the very first letter whicht hey will show off around, I will carefully wrote it and long~but the letter afterward will be depend on my mood and depend on my mood hahah!!!

I talk nonsense to them lol. I just wanted to get the letter badge over with. But on some I described what they looked like in an insulting way lol xD.

I use the letters sometimes like a mini diary of how I'm feeling, and venting makes me feel a lot better after. But only to my 'bestie' villagers, because I'd like to think that they'd be willing to listen to my crap lol. I wrote to Chief once and ended my letter asking him to stop by, to which I got a reply from him saying I needed to visit.

They can be so heartwarmingly cute. ; ;

it's a bit of a catch 22 for me; i write really genuine letters, but i can hardly be bothered lmao when i do write and send them, it's always stuff like "thank-you for the lovely gift! it'll look stunning in my lounge room!" hahahah

I used to try to get pictures from villagers I would just write them letters saying how good of a friend they were ect. hoping that might increase friendship levels (read it on a thread somewhere, but mostly likely false). I would also attach their favorite fruit or a random shirt.
