What do you miss from old animal crossing games?

What features did you enjoy in past animal crossing games that no longer exist in acnl? For me, it's Mr. Resetti. Yeah, we still have him. But he's so freaking nice now. When AC came out on gamecube, I was 7 and my brother was 10. We LOVED messing with Mr. Resetti until he finally lost his mind and screamed at us for long periods of time. It was the funniest thing ever.

I also miss the "glitch" that gave you Gyroid face.

Soccer balls or basketballs randomly appearing and villagers kicking them around, how villagers sounded more human and the original Population Growing, and golden trees.

From other games, bottle mail, the fountain with Serena, the city, and being shorter.

Also the villagers Meow, Bow, Olive and Megumi.

I miss having a house on the island and having a villager there. The balls would have been nice to have now that multiplayer exists. The aerobics radio was kind of fun. I also wish you could still make constellations to look at.

You actually miss these things? Getting a golden axe from the fountain was extremely annoying and the bus ride to the city was even more annoying. Being shorter might look cute, but that would mean getting rid of pants which I would not like.

I forgot about the balls! I miss them too now And I also miss the old language. Oh, and the "woo-hoo! woo-hoo!" sounds effect whenever you got something. Made it feel much more rewarding XD

I only recently discovered the island in gamecube. I wish the island in acnl had the island villager to interact with!

Why? Why is she in HHD but not NL? Why?

A lot of the villagers were really cool... Meow, Maddie, Ellie, Pigleg, Ursala, Cupcake... I like a lot of them. There are just too many villagers to have a birthday each I guess, but I don't see what's stopping them.

I miss how the villagers would talk to each other a lot. They rarely have conversations in New Leaf.

I miss the acorn festival from Wild World. I always thought it looked nice when the leaves and grass turned brown, and acorns would appear everywhere. Mushrooms are nice, but they should have at least brought back the acorns spawning :/

I miss how you could tell villagers to stay when they were in boxes in Wild World. Made things so much easier...

I wish that this thing was a PWP! I LOVED this feature in the gamecube version of Animal Crossing xD.

man i miss this... the struggle of trying to bring a villager a soccer ball from the bottom half of the map up your steep ramps only to fail miserably and cry when it falls backwards and straight into the rivers... oh gosh it was so evil.

I miss how rude the snooty villagers were in Population: Growing.

...I realize I may be alone in this. Haha.

It always made me laugh when they were mean to me, or went off on crazy tangents, like when Mallary gave me an eye exam or ranted about ski lifts doing untold damage to her delicate knee-pits.
