What do you like to do better, catch bugs or fish

Migratory locusts is a huge way to earn bells and it gets annoying when you can't see the river when fishing in CF so I'll say bug hunting.

Fishing is a big money maker for me. I payed off the first two morgage's very quickly because of fishing.

Bug hunting is a lot harder because theres a frequency of some bugs, but others are beyond rare and you cant really hunt them without circling your whole village several times over, fishing you have a set path pretty much, so more people opt for that.

I say bug hunting, even though I fish way more.

That's because it's autumn/winter

In autumn/winter I prefer fishing, it's easier and more profitable. In spring/summer I prefer bug hunting because it's so much more interesting.
