I love him! He's classic looking but very sleek. He might be a bit boring to some people. But if you like him you should definitely move him in, especially if he's your favourite of that personality!
I absolutely adore Chief, but then again I love most of the wolves in general, so that's not saying much. But yeah, if he's your favorite cranky, I definitely would put him in your town.

My favourite is Wolfgang. I am bias towards him because he was one of my starting villagers~
I love all wolves so these are my top three: 1) Wolfgang, 2) Chief, 3) Whitney. ^_^
Him, Wolfgang and Lobo are on the same level in my opinion, speaking of favourites. But I dislike having too many too popular villagers so I chose to get Lobo for my town. Chief is still great though
Chief isn't bad, but he's not among my favorite Wolf villagers. He's actually not really among my favorite villagers in general, to be honest I find him kind of plain. He's far better than a number of other villagers though, so he's somewhere around the middle if you lined all the villagers up.
When it comes to Wolf villagers, my absolute favorites are Freya and Lobo because of their cool eyes, and of the two I prefer Freya because I don't really like the Cowhide Rug in Lobo's house. I also like Dobie, Kyle, and Wolfgang, and I'm sort of warming up to Skye after initially disliking her eyes.
Honestly, Chief would be among my least favorite Wolf villagers alongside Fang, as again, they seem unremarkable compared to the others. I used to like Whitney until I adopted her years ago and found out she only looks cool from the side and otherwise her eyes look really awkward. I expect the same would be true of Vivian from the way she looks to the side too.
It all comes down to personal preference though, so hopefully my seemingly negative opinion doesn't come off as too harsh. If you like him, more power to ya!
I like Chief a lot and he is one of my favorite villagers, I like his design and his nice house but that's what I can just say about him because another reason I like him because he is a wolf but I still don't know what else I like about him.
