What do you guys personally like to see in a dream town?

I am building up my town and I?m a bit close to getting a dream address. Before I settle anything are there specific features you guys like seeing?

decorating my home(s) is one of my favourite aspects of the game, i love snooping around other players houses lmao so it's really disappointing when i visit a dream and the houses are empty or sparse, especially when the town is beautifully landscaped.

Tbh I love when people leave out cute lil outfits for you to wear as you walk around and when they put items around town like the bubbles or wands. It makes it a bit more fun than to just walk around looking at the town.

wide paths/paths that don't have bushes or trees in the way. i feel like some towns have paths that are really specific to where they're going (if that makes any sense pft). i want to be able to explore the town without having things in my way!

towns that don't have bushes blocking paths or making you go a certain way, like what Sherbet said. it's annoying to me when I visit a dream town and their paths are made so it's forcing you to go a certain way, I like being able to roam freely and not have any trees or bushes ruining that.

i also like it when food gets left out, it's fun to walk around holding coffee or sparkling cider or ice cream or basically anything you can eat in game (besides the fruit).

What I don't like seeing either sparse landscaping or full houses or empty houses and lush landscaping.
lots of things buried, stuff just lying around everywhere or hard to navigate houses, there's a difference between a nicely arranged house full of stuff and hoarding.

Ahh this bothers me too. I have three complete houses and working on the last one
I’m always going around visiting people and mostly I don’t care about their landscape just the houses to get ideas lol

Ahh my paths are pretty wide. Though they all connect though so I do feel like they sort of do force you to a certain place . Though it connects the whole town so I guess you kind of have the option to go which ever way you choose.

I wonder if there’s any edible handhelds that are vintage looking? My town is I guess not so modern and I feel like the coffee and sparkling cider just won’t match. But I really want to leave cute items to eat!

By full houses do you mean fully decorated/ expanded or just hoarding houses?
And that’s good I feel like so far I’m doing ok. My houses are not hoarding but they aren’t sparse either I believe.

ah i meant that i don't like paths that are so narrow you can only go one certain way (sorry, i didn't really know how to explain it!) but if your paths are wide & connect, it should be just fine

Weeds so I can pull em obviously lol. But yeah anything not perfectly pathed and planned tbh, I'd rather see unique owns with more random ideas and creativity.

Dream Address favorites:

- at least one outfit by the town tree
- all houses have furniture - if the rooms are empty they?re blocked so you don?t waste time going in them (obviously this only works on left, right and back rooms)
- a feeling of some chosen theme to the town - really random towns with random flowers and pwps in random areas just feels chaotic - unless that?s what they planned Gaga!

You mentioned old fashioned edibles. I would recommend any of the ?ice creams? wrapped. Soft serve was not invented until later but ice cream was a novelty - look into the size of ice cream scoops at the turn of the century - it was very very small compared to sizes served today!

Strawberry ice cream or vanilla ice cream would be perfect for your town.

I do this too but I rarely see any villagers I like in dream towns. I guess they aren’t popular ( they are like tier 4-5 )

This thread is very interesting! Thank you for creating it! I will work soon on a DA for my new town, and it’s cool to know what people like/dislike. Personally I like to find clothing and ice cream close to the plaza tree. I don’t mind if paths are wide or thin, cause I usually walk in dream towns and I like to follow the path that the creator of the town chose for me! It’s their vision of a perfect peaceful town and I like to follow it! I like to discover little beautiful corners with pwps and nice ideas!!i like when a corner of town is prepared with thought and imagination. Example you find a path that leads to an hidden spot surrounded by bushes that hides a cute bench with mushrooms and a fruit basket close to it. As an example! I also like when there’s some cute gardens around each villagers house. I often check inside villagers houses too, to see if the mayor gifted some nice furniture to the animal etc.
almost all my villagers home are re furnished by me xD it takes a long time but it works ( unless they already have a cute home).

Player’s houses: I only visit the main biggest home usually, unless there’s a specific story to the town and I need to see all characters houses.
Mostly I’m interested in the landscaping and talking to the animals! And it doesn’t matter if perfect or not: I like when I see unique landscaping ideas!

I’m THe same . I’ll probably only leave a boy and girl outfit...but really I don’t even change my pajamas when I go visiting.
