What do you do with your flowers when they go crazy?

I let my flowers go for 3 months and yesterday I finished up major clean up... I trashed them all. I thought about giving them away, but it's a hassle and I wanted it done asap... i figure if I'm having no problem with flowers, other people are probably fine too looool.

I sell, usually in the drop box, since the shop hadn't opened when I do my morning run.

I've got things pretty well in hand, so it's mainly removing new spawns and occasionally an existing flower, if I decide an area needs more thinning.

Once you get to that point, it doesn't take much to maintain. Getting there, however, is another story.

I always have a garbage bin in my pockets now. If I see a new bud I’ll dig it out and trash if my pockets get too full. At least the benefit of working on a rock garden is that there’s much fewer spots to spawn!

So true lol. There was a point where my flowers in my neglected natural areas just got out of control and covered all the possible spots. My paths laid out around town also covered most of my free zones so I was very easily able to finally make a rock garden with very minimal pattern placement involved.

I also trash my flowers, even the hybrids. I've had enough though so I went ahead and blocked off spawn zones with transparent squares.

I think everyone has been getting a crazy amount of rain so it made the flower problem worse than usual

Sell them in the nook bin or move them to my beach. I’m in the process of moving ALL my flowers to the beach or sell

I tried selling my extra hybrids online but I think since we just had the rainy season, everyone is overrun with hybrids and many people are just giving them away for free. I ended up giving some of mine away too, but it just took too much time since I have wayyy too many so now I just sell them to nooklings

I used to always give them away as it felt like a waste but it takes so much time that it just seems so much easier to trash them/sell them at the drop box. If they are rarer e.g. blue roses, green mums, purple pansies.. I will post on here to see if anyone is looking for them as I know myself how hard they can be to breed!

Yeah getting blue roses by breeding is quite annoying. It's very nice when people donate them

Yeah I once spent a whole day donating flowers! I still do it now and again but it really is time consuming. All those people who have opened hybrid shops I take my hat off to them for sure!!

I try to give it away to others who could have better use for them before selling to the Nooks.

I timetravel a lot, so half of my town is covered in non-hybrids, because I forgot to fence my flowers in when I started timetraveling. (No joke, the entire second and third levels of my town are entirely covered in wildflowers, loose items, and weeds.)

At some point, I'm probably just going to do a giveaway of the flowers I have, or just dig them up and sell them if nobody wants to take my flowers after awhile. For now though, I'm kinda just letting them grow because I'm too lazy to do anything else about it. After all, I'm not really using those spaces for anything else, so I don't see a reason to do anything, lol.

Definitely sometimes I don't know how people have the energy to run their shops so much, it impresses me how organized and setup everything is

I would prefer to give the hybrids away, but it takes time and sometimes difficult to find someone to take them. I trash the regular flowers.

I tend to sell them. Starting to loathe whenever it rains now ugh. On the bright side I tend to get at least a couple thousand bells for selling the extras.

I generally just dig them up and sell em when they get crazy. I like having flowers all over the island but not so dense. And I keep the hybrids of course.
