What do you do with small areas around your island?

So I have many small little spaces around my island and I really want to fill them, but I’ve run out of ideas. I’ve already done a painting area, a barbecue area, a bicycle rack, a little reading nook but still have 3-4 more of these small corners to fill

Anybody got more ideas?

Your welcome. I started it last night to start gathering ideas for my island since I restarted. I am hoping it continues to take off to provide inspiration to others.

dim sum restaurant, with floor seats, dim sum tables, cushions, and imperial dinnerware+fence.

I just leave them be. Plant trees and call it good. One good thing about going for a natural/rural town is I don’t have to put in as much effort.

Sometimes just a bench, a tree, and some flowers can be enough! Those are all things villagers can interact with too, so that's a nice bonus.

keep it as dumping grounds for other mats/flowers bc my island is a mess

some people do an outside movie area with pillow seats. It doesn't have to be big.

you could also add secret ponds if you don't have a bunch already. some fish only appear on certain levels of terrain so it can help with that too.

I just temporarily filled it with flowers for breeding or if I need to clear the way.
