I have sooo many from time traveling and.... its a mess to say the least. What do you all like to do with them? I'm at a loss aside from running them over lol ^^'
I usually run over everything that isn't white or purple hahaha, but I have a lot of pink ones that I store on my beach that I'm gonna give to my sister. TOO MANY FLOWERS MAN
I always sell mine, I am too miserly to run over bells. I am trying to breed blue roses and this has given me loads of unwanted roses that have spawned. No blue ones though
My town is finished, so any new flowers that pop up or that villagers plant are not needed. I save hybrids, store flowers that may be useful, and dig up any that aren't. I may even dig up potentially useful flowers if I can't be bothered. I recommend using the shovel instead of running, because you don't want to create unnecessary grasswear and sometimes you have to run over a flower a lot to get it to die.
I sell them during tourneys so I don?t hurt my villagers feelings. They drop more if they?re happy and I pretend it?s their rent money. Sometimes I make 10,000 bells and a whole lot of nothing adds up to... Wait, think I got my math wrong.... heh heh heh.
I used to sell them or if red/yellow & I had the space I put them in the houses (Mayor/alt) for feng shui.
Now I place all the spares either as pathways along the river or where I have grass wear beginning.
I don't water them (I don't have beautiful ordinance on), I pluck the wilted ones - they count as weeds (source, Liquefy's walkthrough faq on Gamefaqs) & hence towards the weeding badge.
If I'm plot resetting, I'll place the flowers in the pockets of the trash Villiager. I also will sometimes mail them off to villagers in town (Moe has recieved so many flowers)
