Seems to me there are some villagers always wanting to move. And eventually, unless they are a hardcore-cannot-live-without-you-dreamie, I let them go. I have done with this many beloved characters: Moe, Pietro, Julian, Portia and so on beause to be honest, at some point it finally gets to me. 'You want to keep talking about moving? Fine, MOVE! I don't care.' I just wish AC gave the player the option to decide when it was time to move someone out. I am facing this with Tia right now. She asks constantly to move and just did right now. And honestly, as cute as she is, I am tempted to boot her. It's frustrating. Anyone else have certain villagers always threatening to jump ship? Seems to me, it's mostly my normals and smugs. Oversensitive goobers, lol.

I do the same thing as you - unless they're an absolute had-to-have dreamie, I usually let them go. It's not so much that it's frustrating, though. It's more like I feel bad that they want to leave and I won't let them. :/ I know that sounds kind of silly. But I want my villagers to be happy, lol.

Dorian - I'm sorry you've had this problem too. It's so frustrating when you finally get your Dreamies and they keep wanting to move.

Soleil keeps wanting to leave! But I need a snooty and her house is in a perfect spot and I love her!
Why does she want to leave so bad?! Is she having problems with her bf Clay?

I wish I could have a heart-to-heart with her. Ask her why she wants to leave. Thoughts? Advice?

I did the same thing too. My vladimere always wants to move, but I like him. He wanted to move for more than 5 times now. I still kept him here. I like his smile and his voice. lol I'm weird

But on the other side if you make a villager stay and tell them not to move out, they are really happy that you want to keep them, they act happy no matter what c;

Yeah, this always makes me smile, actually. I love it when they go "well, if YOU want me to stay then I'm staying!" :)

It's annoying as hell. Merengue and Chrissy, they constantly ask to move. Constantly. I just push them around when they ask and make them sad or mad. Like, girl, I just told you 10 times not to move. Why are you asking AGAIN? Please chill and go find a hobby.

Yeah, it seems like it's mostly the villagers you're closest to that want to move the most often. Half of my villagers are ones I've wanted to move out since the beginning of the year, but NONE have pinged me about it once.. meanwhile my closest friends (Frank/Eugene/Goose) constantly bring up moving every other day I talk to them. Of course I tell them no each time, but it really is frustrating when they ask so often. I'm pretty sure if you want a villager to stay, then all you can do is just tell them no whenever they bring it up.. I wish there was something to have them stop asking all the time too though haha.

it's totally random re who the game picks to move. instead of taking it personally just tell them No if you want to keep them in your town. not a big deal. like others have said, they'll almost always say theyre glad you asked them to stay...

I let certain villagers go, but if I'm really attached to the villager I'll probably talk him/her out of it.

I had the same thing with Molly. I really didn't want to let her go. She was one of my all time favourite villagers. But she kept asking me every day for about 3 weeks. Finally I just said yes. She's now in a happy home and I get to get to know new villagers so it worked out. But it's super frustrating.

I usually try and hold on to them until I get their picture. Once our friendship level is maxed and they ask to leave I just give them away... at least that's what I've been doing in my new town (there are some characters in my old town that I can't live without *ahem* dizzy). The game gets boring with the same ones to be honest... and as frustrating it is, I enjoy landscaping and rebuilding, even if that means plot resetting a billion times.
