I'm in a slight slump right now with my game. I have no bells (I accidentally spent ALL of them when I meant to spent half to pay off a house loan so I have ZERO. Can't even go to the island to make more...which is also boring), I'm still in waiting on tons of upgrades, my paths and trees are where I've like them, etc. There is just nothing to do right now.

Aside from playing a different game for a while (which honestly I have nothing good to play either), what can I do to make AC more interesting while I wait ages to get my bells back so I can get upgrades/start doing PWPs again? What do you guys do when you're bored with your game?

I hang out with my friends and go to Club Tortimer to make new ones!

Personally when I don't feel like playing, I just don't play, but you could:

-Design some clothes or patterns
-Landscape your town or plan landscapes
-Organize your dresser/items
-Make a dirt path
-Play with someone else at their town/island or invite a friend to your town and make up minigames or do glitches together

And if you want, I can give you 500k bells for free.

Wow are you sure? That a lot of bells ;~;

I usually just go around talking to my villagers. They're always so nice to me, and while it does get repetitive, they still always seem to have something interesting to say. You could also work your way to making more bells by doing little bell tricks like shaking trees, money rocks, selling fossils, selling fruit, selling seashells, etc. Once you earn more bells using those methods you can start going to the island again and have fun going on tours and catching bugs and sharks to make a lot more bells. From there, you can continue developing your town and making it how you want it to be.

First, I usually add another human character. That sometimes livens up the game for me.

After I have tried every solution I can think of, I reset and that always makes the game much more interesting for me. That solution is not for everyone, though! It is a last resort.

I'm more than happy to give it to you, don't worry! I have more millions than I know what to do with :P

Wow that's so nice of you, thank you! I was slowly trying to work up to my first million ever (I only started playing in october) while still chipping away at house loans and such but I accidentally spent all of it on a house loan and that kind of ruined it all for me. So I'm back at nothing x-x

I can give you some bells as well, I'll match Faery with 500k ;) It really can be a struggle when bells are low!

Oh my gosh you are all too sweet! ;~; especially when it was my own fault for accidentally typing the wrong number in when re-paying a house loan.

Yeah I hate being low on bells, it's sooo uncomfortable x___x I earned my first million in one day because the crown decided to show up within my first week of playing, LOL. It was a looong day but it was worth it.

If you open your gates I'll come over and drop off the bells ^__^

I have a second character (mostly for QRs and storage stuff) but I don't have room at the moment for a third of fourth, sadly.

I really love my town as-is so I don't really want to reset but I've highly been considering getting a second copy of the game.

Sure, I'll add you and open them up right away!

I could also give you 500,000! I just did a big BTB for IGB transfer, and I'd love to help you out. It's hard to play after you get used to having a ton of bells.

I am so overwhelmed with everyone's kindness. Are you sure about it?

I got pretty bored of my game about two weeks ago. What I decided to do was completely remake all of my paths, redecorate one of my rooms on my main file, made a new hybrid farm on my beach (just for the fun of it, seeing as I'm literally out of room on the mainland for any more flowers) and replace my PWS with different versions. I swapped out my Town Hall and Station from modern to fairytale, and did a lot of fine tuning and extra gardening to make the town look sweeter. I also set up a mini orchard, complete with all of the basic fruits, complete with baskets of their perfect counterparts. Changed two bridges, and finally altered the way my exterior house looked.

It cost a ton, but now my town feels rich and alive again!

When I get bored of it I still go on regularly but that's just to quickly see if anyone is thinking of moving and maybe check shops and other simply rather quick things. Usually I end up eventually playing a lot one day and then continue playing daily for a while. I don't do anything particular maybe set a goal or two like add some more to so-and-so' house or landscape some more.

My town has been complete for a while now, so usually I only play for around 10 - 30 mins a day, so I don't really have anything to get bored over. If I'm working on a badge (right now it's bug catching), then I'll put more time in and I don't get bored because I'm working toward something. I also spend more time playing if I'm plot-resetting and such. But just every day stuff, I don't need to put that much time in. If I got bored, I'd either play something else and take a break, or I would work out some goals and get started on them (like getting certain badges).
