What do you do to make villagers move?

What do you do to get rid of villagers that you do NOT like?

1. Hit them with a net.
2. Push'em into pitfalls.
3. Push them around.
4. Tell them their (enter negative comment here) in convertsation.
5. Other.

I try pushing them into pitfalls and pushing them. Net whacking for those who really stink. I can't start polls so I just use this. When I try it says I can't anyway.
