What disappoints you about AC:NL?

I'm bummed that Blathers no longer says unique stuff about the insects and fish. :/ I know there's the plaques in the museum now, but Blathers just had more personality...

I also heard the episodes (the little tidbits of drama/backstory you got from characters like Tom Nook and the Able Sisters in Wild World/City Folk) are also not in this, which is a real shame.

For the most part though, this is maybe the best AC yet.

Talk to Sable everyday for the sisters background story

1) There is no Trade mechanic. Seems odd to miss this one seeing as how they highly encourage trading with others.

2) Bugs, Fish, Seafood cannot be traded/wrapped/etc. This makes it literally impossible for some people with tight schedules to ever 100% their museums/encyclopedias without Time Travelling.

3) No Grid mechanic for public works. Isabelle is incredibly clunky and it can be hard to tell where you're even placing things. It would have been much simpler for her to lay down a town map on your desk which activates ''work mode'' where you see the town on a grid and you know exactly where everything can and cannot go, instantly.

4) Not enough to buy using medals on the island,

5) Unable to send mail to other towns.

6) No Grid mechanic for home decorating.

7) Being unable to expand or alter your town itself. New Leaf towns are very compact and it's hard to fit a lot of things very well, especially with more public works being unlocked later down the road. Villagers moving in to random locations doesn't help either as they can then completely ruin your plans/space for more public works.

8) No camera mechanic. You're zoomed in on way too much and thus have major blind spots south of you and a good chunk of your left and right views as well. It would have been nice to assign a button or two for rotating the camera, or at least a zoom in/out. I mean we have THREE running buttons. 2 of those don't need to be for running.

lol I was going to write the exact same things xD
not only is the towns small, my town in particular have a river going in such a weird pattern that I just have a lot of small places where I can barely do anything...
and the stones are all in the way, and the random placing for villagers is SO frustrating too >.<
love the game though, I have around 60 hours so far :D

I really hate that the Mayor can't move their home =/ I understand they need to be a resident and are integral to the game but it should be possible to rebuilt and restart a home and then demolish your old one. Especially since you're just starting the game and I later realized you can't build bridges near your home. And people love to move right by your house T_T

I miss Blathers' old personality too, even though I skipped a lot of the stories he would tell about the fossils and donations. (whoops) I wish they included them and just gave a way to skip for people who don't want to listen.

I also really wanted a grid mechanic. It takes me so long to figure out how to place projects and have even cancelled some because the system is really annoying

Oh, and my grass is still disappearing

THIS. This is something I wish could be facilitated. Several months before I got the game I was planning to put my house in a certain spot but I couldn't due to Blanche living near it. XD
