What design or clothing can villagers wear?

Can they wear sweaters with long sleeve (and it just gets turned short sleeve). Or will they only wear clothing that?s short sleeve? How?s about designs ..is this the same case? If I design long sleeve will they wear it as short sleeve, or not wear it at all?

As long as it's not a dress or umbrella they will wear it. They just remove the sleeves lol.

They'll wear any design as long as it's a shirt. Everything that has sleeves will be turned into a tank, but they'll wear them.

Yep. As long as it's a shirt, they will start wearing it. ^_^

I made a bunch of vests, now half my villagers wear those, and the other half (going to send the shirts to all) are wearing the noble shirt.
