What counts as a weed?

Hi, I know that clovers and dandelions don't count as weeds but....I read that wilted flowers do count as weeds. Has anyone found this to work for them?

Weeds are classed as those leaf sprouts shooting up from the ground and wilted flowers.

In fact, a quick method to obtain the "weed picking" badge is to also pick your wilted flowers which you may have obtained from the island.

Thank you. I have a new town. I think this will make it easier for me to let players pick weeds for their badge. I know that it has been impossible for me to get my gold badge in my original town. Too many hybrids.

For Citizen Satisfaction purposes, only weeds count as weeds.

For Weeding Day purposes, when you are visiting another town, clover patches and withering flowers also count as weeds.

For Leif's Special Visitor weeding mini-game, only weeds count as weeds.

For the weeding badges, withering flowers also count as weeds.
