Both consoles I have right now are pretty alright.

The 3DS's battery barely lasts a few minutes when I unplug it, even if I keep it on the lowest brightness and power saving mode. That aside it's pretty good.

My DSi's worse off, though. The L and R buttons used to work on and off but eventually stopped working altogether years ago, there's a bubblegum wrapper stuck in the stylus slot from a moment of stupidity a few years back so you can't really fit styluses all the way in there anymore and the system will sometimes shut itself off out of nowhere. Usually it happens when I open/close the screen.

I'll answer for my DS's, my main one (new 3ds) is really good condition as I bought it last month, everything works except from the fact that I can't get the bottom cover plates off. My older one (2ds) is in super bad condition, there's a lot of scratches on the screens, some super obvious. Not only that but the touch screen harldy works, as well as other issues but it doesn't matter much as i hardly use it anymore.

NES: It's in okay condition, but I need to buy another extension port cover as I bought mine at a yard sale and did not come with it. The plastic that covered it was also ripped off from the looks of it, deteriorating the look of the underside in my opinion.

SNES: Bought it used and is in great shape! It is a second revision of the first model where they did not paint the labels on it, but I guess I should not worry about that.

N64: Bought used and is in excellent condition.

GameCube: Was my first video game console and received used. Logo plate is a little scratched up and there are a few marks from previous use.

Wii: Received new and was my second console. The glossiness has faded a bit from me constantly moving and rearranging the console in my media shelving, but is in great shape despite its almost daily use from 2008-2013. It now gathers dust in a room across the house and is used as my mom's Netflix streaming device. I went to play Brawl about a year ago and it did not read the disc. I have had yet to test it with my other Wii/GCN games to see if it has disc reading errors, but will sometime soon.

Wii U: Received new and I have kept in excellent condition, even going as far as preventing my skin from touching its surface without either using a microfiber cloth or using the pink part of my fingernail. Underside of the console has extensive scratching from the first year of ownership as I would have it sit on top of an original Xbox, causing it to slide off one of its sides.

Other Home Consoles:
֍PlayStation 2- I have had a lot of trouble finding a fully functional PS2 and have gone through $110 and two consoles to find a fully working original PS2 at a garage sale for around $40. The console works amazing and plays all of the formats it was intended to. (DVD, CD, PS1 and PS2 games!) The disk tray does rattle a bit when you eject, whether the motor is going bad or what, I don't have a clue, but I feel it will not have to be replaced anytime soon. The plastic casing has some minor scratches from use, but are hard to see without some good lighting.
֍Xbox- Bought for $14 with only a power cable, has some scratches/dents from prior use, but works great! Reads DVDs and games fine. I did find unfortunately that I own the model that prevents burned audio CDs from being played, but my store bought CDs all work except for one Green Day album.
֍PlayStation 3- Bought in excellent condition with not one problem. It is almost like new practically! Considering my PS3 came with a stock 120 GB hard drive, I may upgrade to a 1 TB hard drive soon to future-proof the console.

Handhelds: Almost all of my handheld gaming devices are used and have scratches on the screens, but not enough to be a hindrance during gameplay. I had my DS Lite repaired and received my original 3DS new and bought my New 3DS XL recently. My original 3DS however is unable to read physical games anymore, so I quit using the console for mostly everything but StreetPass and downloadable multiplayer games.

They're all pretty great, except for two of them. Both of them are blue 3DSs, one of them larger than the other.

I also ruined one, two, three laptops. #1 perished by arm force, #2 failed to survive an 18-inch fall on a return trip from the bathroom, and #3 was sent into a coma after an ill-placed headphone jack had barely grazed the USB port for barely 1/4 of a second.

The majority of gaming consoles in my house are in good or good-ish condition. My brother has ruined a couple though, and the dog ruined an old DSi, but for the most part we take great care of our stuff. I hate to say that there's even a mark on my Majora's Mask Limited Edition XL, but I believe there is one visible scratch on the back of the device. Not on the plates, I kept the lovely gold plates in amazing condition. They were what made me want that exact DS. However, the case I bought that shows off the rare plates does not protect the hinges or the back end of the DS where you would plug things in, etc. I would love to find a paint that matches the grey hinge paint perfectly, so I can touch up where the original paint has chipped, but that one scratch is permanent. If I ever have to upgrade to a new DS one day, I'm gonna save my DS for the plates. It'd be even better if I could swap these DS plates by unscrewing some things, unlike the swappable plates they have now.

hmm...idk what its called but the rubber cover on the circle pad on my 3ds came off but its still usable and in fact, its very smooth without the rubber. for my ps4, i always keep it in top condition.

My PS4, New 3DS and Xbox 360 are all in excellent condition. My Wii is in okay condition (but I got it when I was like, 8, so it being messed up doesn't surprise me) and I also have a Gameboy Micro which is also in an okay condition. The paint has started to rub off a bit, but there aren't many scratches.

I try to keep all of mine in excellent condition. I spent a lot of money on them, so I want to make sure they're well kept.
