What catchphrase is most popular among your villagers?

My villagers have all been swapping catchphrases like crazy recently. I gave Nan "kiddo" since I really liked her default catchphrase "kid" and didn't want to change it too much and now 5/10 villagers are saying it which is really cute.

What catchphrase do your villagers say the most and how many do you estimate say it now? I'd love to hear!

short for period it spread like wildfire. a little upset that marshal copied it, i liked sulky. at least punchy still says mrmpht.

'Savage' because I thought it was a cool catchphrase for a wolf. Now lolly's saying it and I just find it really funny for some reason, so i'll probably keep it for a while.

i gave lolly "meow" as a catchphrase simply because i couldn't think of anything better. now every species on my island is meowing at me

Tambourine. Which I initially misspelled as tamborine and had to change it as soon as possible. I have NO idea why my islanders enjoy it so much. It was just the first word that came to mind and everyone just adores it.

The only one I've had villagers copy is Dobie's catchphrase of "my girl". It sounds weird to have anyone else saying it, so I've gone to Isabelle to quash it.

I am regretting Flora's greeting of "cutie pie", since it comes up in lowercase. It would work better as a catchphrase, so now I have to hope she'll ask for a new greeting soon.

I don't set catchphrases because I've heard horror stories of villagers adopting them from others.

I gave Rolf "chunky" as a catchphrase, and Marshal and Raymond steal it from him on a daily basis. Every time, I go to Isabelle to reset it, but I find it funny they're so stubborn lol

burrito. One of my villagers suggested it and I thought it was cute but within 3 days almost every villager wanted to call me that.

Because my husband and I knew they'd pick up each other's phrases, we made one villager say, "I hate you!" and then they were all running around telling us "I hate you!" LOL... never again..

“Tough guy”. It’s ridiculous. It’s a Tank exclusive and now even the little bear cubs are saying it. My newest resident picked it up like 1 day after he moved in.

Three of my villagers are now saying "reeeOwrrr" thanks to Raymond. Who would've thought you'd hear cat noises from a dog, a kangaroo, and an emu?

Oh, man. My town tends to get trends. For a long time it was "rawr" (which I gave to Ursala since I was not feeling creative that day). Right now it's "me-WOW", which I originally gave to Merry (yes, I know it's... Tabby's saying, I think, but I don't have her and it fits Merry, too). Everybody from Freya to Dobie is saying that these days!

A few villagers even picked up on the super specific one I gave to Erik, which was "reindurr" (I'm still way too proud of that one )

My villagers are actually leveled out - 1/2 of them are saying "periodt" and the other half are saying "ACAB" - I've had Ketchup change her catchphrase probably twice today
