What can I do in my island? I’m stuck!

So I have a 4 star island but trying to go to 5 star. It’s really difficult and I tried everything! But still no luck! :( So anyone with a 5 star or any star, may you please help me?

Because I honestly don’t know what to do in my island.

But it would be nice for a couple of ideas for me! And probably some tips to get to a 5 star island too!❤️

You're probably going to have to use a lot of fencing. let me know if you need any.
Also I can give you some hybrids.

Unfortunately, you can't pick up hybrids in this game. I need to go to your island to drop them off, since strangers can't dig in other people's island without being best friends.
 
Try planting lots of flowers, fruit trees, hardwood trees, pine trees, and shrubs. Clean up any diy or items laying around on the floor if you have any. I went to Isabelle and asked her my island evaluation a lot. Look for key words highlighted in blue. Sometimes it says to plant more ‘flowers’ or ‘saplings’.

What I did when I got to 4 was speak to Isabelle to hear her suggestion. I'd add or take away what she hinted at, then speak to her again. If she said the same thing, I kept adding or removing, but if it changed, I then did her new suggestion. I kept meeting with her regularly until she was satisfied. Since then, I haven't really spoken with her at all.

I didn't want to clutter up my island, but I kept being told to decorate with items. I put several on the rocks at the back, where they are basically out of sight, but it still counts, as far as Isabelle is concerned. Gulliver items, Bunny Day, stuff like that will give a big boost.
 
Something that helped propel me to a 5 star was just cleaning up any diys and unplaced items from my beach and island. Try that and see what happens! Also Isabelle will give you hints as to what you need to improve so ask her often!
 
If you haven’t done any fencing, add it.

If you already have fencing, then place furniture outside. Keep placing furniture outside.

Check, in between with your timing, to see if Isabelle reports to you that your island is up to five stars.
 
The fencing is good but it's not that important. If you want to get 5 stars for lily of the valleys, just place alot of fossils done. I got to 5 stars with a lot of Dino skeletons and with 26 pieces of fencing
 
Talk to Isabelle and she will steer you in the right direction. One time five star farm here but never again. I recommend placing a lot furniture down all over the island, pick up all dropped items (DIYs, furn, clothes), and having a whole bunch of flowers.
 
Definitely agree with above. I was stuck at 4 stars for ages. Fencing (lots of! Isabelle seemed obsessed 😂) tried all the leaving random items around.

Hit 5 stars when I did a a little terraforming and made a raised fishing spot.
